Calhoun House of Pizza

Ordered two pizzas and garlic bread, was almost 50 bucks. I wouldn’t call the pizza bad because in order to be bad, it has to actually TASTE bad…there was no taste to anything. The pizzas were COVERED in cheese, which is usually a good thing; however the cheese literally has zero taste, like I couldn’t even taste salt… it was just: there. The crust was horrible, and I genuinely couldn’t taste the sauce (your probably noticing a theme here). The people seemed nice but this was really, really not good at all. Won’t be back.

I came thru st mathews and stop at this place with my 8 year old son and two associates. They each had a cheeseburger basket ( the meat was not real beef it was soy burger) I had a ham and cheese sub and my son had some chicken tenders. 3 cokes and a sweet tea. 3 people came in about 20 minutes after us. They got their food about 15-20 minutes before us. We was there an hour and five minutes and so I asked the lady if there was a problem with our order. I mentioned that several people came in after us and she said some people's take longer some take shorter. But what they had would have taken just as long if not longer to make. A cheeseburger...4 minutes. Anyways, I get the bill and she says she's going to deduct 2.00 for each meal for taking so long. I get the bill, and its $93.17. Where? I paid it and will never ever ever ever ever EVER be back. Even if it were free. It was a shocking endeavor all the way around.

I would have LOVED to try this establishment’s cuisine! My friends and I wasted an hour and a half driving there to find the doors locked today. PLEASE have someone update the current hours on your Google business page, FB pg and/or website to avoid this happening again. I have heard the food and service is amazing!

First visit and loved the feel, the food, and the story of the restaurant. The hospitality, owner Georgia's touch, is special and would be enough reason for our next visit. The restaurant humble exterior, the absence of good signage, and the simple name might not attract passersby but luckily that did not happen with us. You no choose; you lose! This place was the worst place to eat the food was almost ice cold when it was served! I would not recommend this to no one. I ordered a pizza to go when we ordered our food and I they didn't even put it in the oven yet after we ate. It took forever to get our meal. It was a very bad night .we will never go back. I paid for the me eak and left them that pizza to stick it up where the sun don't shine. True statement if you read this post.

Another hidden gem in Saint Mathews! Has plenty of parking. The atmosphere has a quaint small town feel. The vegetarian pizza was awesome! I am beginning to regret not living in Saint Mathews.

I grew up in St. Matthews and ate at this place a few times, but I never ordered pizza. My hubs and I were visiting, and Mom bought us a cheese steak pizza. Lemme just say, looks can be deceiving. At first I was like, "This pizza looks burnt." But BOOOOYYYYY, it was GOOD! I've never had a 16" pizza with such thick toppings for just $23. The toppings were twice as thick as the crust, and the pizza didn't fall apart! Both my husband and I could only eat one slice! This has been the best "pizza value for your buck" I've ever experienced! Whatever y'all are doing to make pizza this satisfying AND cheap, keep it up! ?

Best Pizza in the area! Crust is tasty, crispy and delicious toppings! we also split a cheesesteak sub, which was also quite delicious ladies were excellent servers, and the food came out very quickly. when we were done, they even ask us if we would like refills to go of their delicious, sweet tea. We love this place we will be returning again. This was our second time there.?

Delicious food and friendly service

Expensive, but good, all pizza at a high price. Most people probably can spend like that. I am on a strict budget, domestic beers were 3.99.
