“My husband and I stopped in for a late lunch. As we entered there were a group of 4 men to our left and a couple in the corner and now us. The lady behind the counter greeted us and brought us our drinks. Since this was our first time it took us a few minutes to decide. She was pleasant enough until she wasn’t. Mind you she was by herself and serving 4 now since the group of 4 men had left. She never came back to fill our drinks until I asked her and for that she seemed bothered by the request. She seemed bothered by any request and the reason I didn’t ask for more water. At one point I was going to get the pitcher of water myself until I thought otherwise. She may have been having a bad day. The only reason I bring it up is because the food was fantastic and the rating would have been a straight 5 across except for the waitress aka lady behind the counter who just didn’t make us feel quite welcome.”

“First time at Scoops last night and fell in love with the people and the ice cream! So the people gracious & and the selection is delicious! The brownie sundae was EXACTLY what we needed!”

“We have been going here for many years and often we order the same thing depending on time of day. This time I went for dinner and order the pecan crusted chicken sandwich which I have ordered several times before. When the food came the sandwich was cut in half. I noticed that half of the sandwich had a small cut of chicken. I thought that the chicken maybe had been cut off centered. But, as I looked at the other half of the sandwich the piece of chicken was the same small size. It literally looked like a chicken tender had been cut in half and placed on the toast. It was very disappointing. We asked the waitress about it and she took it back to the kitchen. In the end they brought us 2 more sandwiches the same way. This sandwich was not worth the money.”

“I have been coming here for over 25yrs. I have seen ups and downs thru the years. I have to say that management has a handle on service and food. I am happy to rewrite my review. The service is really good and the food was done just right.( the waitress commented that my meal was going to keep someone on there toes) kristie, Ashley, and Amanda are a great team. As well as the rest of the staff.”

“My Husband and I are camping nearby at Chester State Park and decided to swing in here for dinner. I ordered the BBQ chicken nachos, with the fried pimento cheese appetizer, and my husband ordered the short rib. The food was delicious and put a hurtin' on both of us- in the best way. We definitely did not leave hungry, no sir. My husband very rarely gets to enjoy short rib cooked right. The portion size felt like it kept going and the price for it all was unbelievable. Leslie was our server. I would say she is the best server we have had in a very long time. She kept her eyes on everything happening in her section. Everyone from hostess to food runners, servers to manager, were all helping each other, and that's what makes for a smooth operation. Our drinks never got half way empty, several people checked on our table, and our server made us feel at home. Atmosphere, food, service was amazing.”

“Popped in last night after working the car show at Yorkville Marketplace as I’d been wanting to try and support local. Immediately felt welcomed and even made some new friends sitting at the bar. Brandon & Katie the bartenders are amazing and we really enjoyed talking to them. The dunkel is 💯! We will definitely be back!”

“We ate here this past Friday and we can't wait to go back! This is a very good restaurant, with great southern and seafood cooking. The bartender, I think his name was Sam was beyond exceptional! He filled us in on the vast menu and gave us a few recommendations that were on par! He made us feel like we were at home and was very attentive to our needs. Normally, when we go out to eat we have to tell our server/bartender what we need. With Sam, he was just on top of things and was on point! We will be back and back again. I requested space for our YCHS class of 1995 reunion meet-up, expecting low numbers, based on previous attendance and more current feedback. We had a GREAT number of folks show up - much more than we thought! Megan, our server, was AWESOME! Other individuals assisted her by running food and I didn’t catch their names, but I was so impressed and appreciative of their hard work! As always, the food was excellent and drinks were fantastic! Towne Tavern of York, you all helped us have a wonderful evening and we are so grateful you’re in our hometown! Thank you!”

“I really enjoy Oreo blender with espresso. The staff is super friendly and pleasant, very welcoming. The times I’ve had an issue with maybe drink being too icy/watered down they fix it and are very polite about it I have had a times where I don’t have them fix it though because I just feel bad about them having to fix it. Scooters is definitely a highlight part of my day I look forward to. (Edit I have more recently, not had consistency with my drink though, and that is my only complaint. Getting it one day and it taste great and flavorful and then get in the next day and it’s not flavorful or too much ice. It’s just getting really disappointing for me snd a gamble and I literally used to come like every single day here. It’s just too much money to spend for it and it not be consistent with flavor.”

“Went here for a birthday with family. 10 of us and the staff made sure we were happy with everything on the buffet, made fresh items when we asked. Loud inside and smell of nail place next door was strong.

“I had a classic roast beef and potato cakes and an orange cream shake. It was all fresh and wonderful. My sandwich had a lot of meat on it. The shake and potato cakes were also delicious. I bought a second classic to take home and it was good warmed up later. My truck wouldn't start so I waited in the dining room for help to come. It was nice and clean and cool in there. The booth was comfortable, not worn out. The employees were super nice. I'm glad that I had such a nice place too wait since I waited for hours.”
