We went to Cracker Barrel on fairforest rd in Spartanburg SC yesterday 5/23/25 at approximately 1:14 pm. They were somewhat busy, got seated quickly, and it was pretty loud in the area we were seated at. Our server was Robert R, I could tell he didn’t seem too friendly when he was taking our drink order like it had been a long day. We both noticed that right away and my bf said to him, “been a long day”? He never answered. We Ordered drinks, at first I asked about sprite, but changed my mind, ordered a Diet Coke instead, my Bf water. He brings out drinks, what do I get, a sprite, but he realizes I did choose Diet Coke. He did go get a Diet Coke. So now We were ready to order our food, he asked if we wanted Biscuits which was a yes. In meantime he’s waiting on several big parties near us, we get our food, we realized NO utensils, so the lady who brought our food out got us the utensils. We realized we didn’t have no extra napkins either. So he’s bringing out a drink tray for a big party next to us, my bf catches his attention and told him we needed some napkins. The waiter snaps back in a tone I didn’t like and says “well I need to put these drinks out first”, like we expected him to drop what he was doing! He should have chose his words wisely b/c at that point he JUST LOST HIS TIP!!! He could’ve had a better answer and had a better tone when asked the question! for example: “Oh I’m sorry, I will grab some extra napkins for you in just a second as soon as I hand out these drinks or give me just a second and I will grab those for you!” We DIDNT GET OUR BISCUITS, Nor offer either one of us anymore drink/water. He finally brings the napkins, we are almost done eating, I didn’t dare ask what happened to our biscuits! My bf did ask for more water at the end of our lunch, BUT NEVER GOT THAT EITHER! I TOLD the lady up front, she sorta acted like well ok, I’m sorry that happened, but never offered to tell the manager. I made it a point to directly ask her, “Are you going to make sure the manager knows about this? She agreed she would, but I DO NOT WANT THAT WAITER AGAIN!
Good service and food as always
Never disappoints!!!!!!
The tater tot’s are undercooked. The cheese wasn’t even melted. Kids mac n cheese was runny and the biscuits were almost burnt

Great food
Was making unexpected visit S.C. received great service, food would shout SC..
Would give zero stars if I could. Our server Kristy was a delight and our food was pretty decent however, the service people at the front desk need to get it together. I informed mary at the checkout counter that we wanted to split our friends check 50/50 as a sort of gift for this beautiful Easter Sunday. Mary on the other hand, decided to have it go in one ear and out the other. She ended up having me go ahead and pay for my check which messed how everything. How do you not understand how to split one meal 50/50?! We stood there for over 20 minutes waiting to find out that she would indeed have to refund me my check for us to be able to split anything. Two different managers came up and neglected to offer any type of solution or compensation whatsoever. Having had worked at several different restaurants I know for a fact this is a simple thing to do and a very common request. After we finally solved her own problem and caved in by one of us just paying for the remainder of meals in full, so we could finally leave, Mary decided to make snarky comments and catch an attitude when this whole situation was her fault in the first place. I’m very disappointed that this is how we had to end our Easter Sunday lunch however, Krys was a delight and tried her hardest to lighten our mood. Overall, 1/10 experience.

We arrived about 7pm and it was our 1st time at this location. Our food arrived in a timely manner, but none of it was to the usual Cracker Barrel standard. We ordered chicken and dumplings, a burger, and chicken fingers. It all tasted bland and old. The worst of it were some of the sides... The mashed potatoes were cold and one solid clump, and the mac and cheese had something black all over it, so nobody would touch it. The server was great, and the atmosphere was nice. All in all, the food was the only negative. Maybe it was just an off night.
Would NOT recommend! My husband and our two boys went here for dinner and it was a terrible experience. We were sat promptly and received our drinks, but after that it went downhill. It took well over an hour to receive our food. Half of our order was ready, the bacon was almost burnt and the food was cold. My husbands scrambled eggs were undercooked and his French toast was soggy and pale. They were completely out of jelly for the biscuits. I asked our server for the strawberry syrup for my cheesecake pancakes and she never came back. My husband went to the kitchen twice and they still gave him the wrong syrup. I was so aggravated I didn't eat the pancakes and had them to take them off the ticket. On top of that as we are checking out the cashier, who was completely unfriendly and disinterested, was playing on her phone the whole time. This was the worst experience I have ever had at a Cracker Barrel. You couldn't pay me to come back.
Absolutely horrible. I feel like unless you’re 90 and have no taste buds, you won’t enjoy this place. Or maybe if all you eat is microwave meals, this might be a nice change of pace but similar quality.
Hate to be negative, but the breakfast was not what it should have been. The grits were very runny, you could drink them and the piece of city ham that was on the plate had fat on it and looked like it was trimmings. The bacon was overcooked to black. Maybe they were just having a bad day in the kitchen and we don't normally complain, but my husband and I said it was quite unacceptable. The scramble eggs were very good.
Beyond dissatisfied we went here on a Saturday at 11am and didn’t get our food till 55 minutes later the manager was no where to be found and after waiting that long we received burnt bacon and a hockey puck for sausage my husband’s skillet was ice cold. No apologies and we left hungry. This has never happened before. Was definitely a bad day for staff and patrons alike.
