My wife and I stopped in there last night for the second time. Didn't disappoint again! Huge variety of gourmet creative cupcakes! So soft, moist, and perfect! Will definitely be reg's !!!

Went to Smallcakes this past week for a sweet treat and let me tell you this is one of the best treats I’ve had in a while.

First, I walked in and saw a beautiful shop with lots of lovely treats. However, the best part of this experience was the owner! She is so lovely and polite to her guests.

I got the red velvet cupcake and it was perfectly made. The bottom wasn’t burnt at all, the middle was very flavorful, and the icing was delicious. I’m not an icing fan, but this icing was the real deal.

I will definitely be returning! I love that this is a locally owned and operated shop, the quality is really in the details here!

Great little locally owned and operated sweet treat destination. We tried the red velvet and wedding cake “small cakes”. They were both delicious but my favorite was the red velvet. Will definitely be coming back.

I ordered a dozen vanilla cupcakes with chocolate icing and sprinkles. Presentation was beautiful packaged fabulously. They were amazing. I will order from there again and I would recommend it to anyone looking for cupcakes 10 out of 10.

Showed up at 1:30pm on a Sunday - was not open. No explanation posted on the door. Opening hours on the door and online hours showed 1pm to 6pm. Just annoying. Sure the cupcakes are good when they actually open.

I'm late but my husband took me here last minute for my bday because we couldn't find a cake but if you haven't been here run don't walk especially if you have a sweet tooth! This place is nothing short of amazing! ( MY FAVORITES WERE THE LEMON AND OREO)

We stopped in on Sunday afternoon. Service was great and quick. We got home to eat our cupcakes and decided to share. When cutting the cupcakes they fell apart with no structure. We got the Boston cream and the German chocolate. Too much chocolate frosting and not enough of the specialty frosting that makes it the flavor. I expected the specialty frosting to be more than a dollop on top. That’s what makes them the flavor right? Nope. Just a small dollop. So it was more like a vanilla cupcake with chocolate frosting and a chocolate cupcake with chocolate frosting. Very disappointed. We were trying to support small business and local.

I happened to see smallcakes on the TooGoodToGo app. So I purchased a surprise bag to pick up at the end of the day. When I got there, the bakery did not smell like a bakery but more like a bathroom. I was given one cupcake for the price I paid for the surprise bag which was $5.99. Usually places give at least a few items for the surprise bags. I was offered one cupcake. I was surprised but ok fine it’s a small business and it gave me a reason to try out a new to me place. I got home and the cupcake was so dry. Literally tasted like disappointment. I will not be giving this place another chance. I would much rather go somewhere else for better quality cake at a better price.

I have been here several times and it has always been fresh and very good. My husband and I went in tonight and got a cupcake each to bring home for dessert and they both were very very old. And when I say old I'm not just talking about stale, both of the cupcakes were hard and crunchy. For $5 a cupcake this is unacceptable.

About a week ago, my friend bought me 6 wedding cake cupcakes because she knows I love them. She lives in Spartanburg, I live in Simpsonville. These cupcakes are supposed to be almond flavor. The frosting had absolutely no flavoring whatever. It tasted funky and the texture was way off. So what happened? The cupcakes went straight to the trash.
