The Beacon Drive-in

I only gave it a three-star because the food is pretty greasy and healthy, but it's pretty good if you don't eat it too often and you eat healthy all the other times and work out and stuff, lol, but we always have nice friendly service and it can be a family orientated environment, they have some good ice cream, I suggest checking them out if you haven't already and see for yourself

Burgers were pre cooked and frozen,the onion rings were just onions hardly any batter, lettuce and tomato were discolored and fries were undercooked, also sweet tea tasted like something you get out of a can and not homemade sweet tea only good thing was the worker walking around our area was really nice and helpful other than that everything needs attention

If you like frozen hamburgers from a box yes you can watch when you order a hamburger comes out of a box it is not really that much beef in the hamburger it's a lot of filler product it's not the best hamburger in the planet but it'll fill you up if you're not expecting the best hamburger this is a place to go.
For the line it was in there the service is pretty darn quick.

The chicken is unseasoned; the fries are unsalted; the ranch is disgusting; and the tea comes with lemon. Explain to me why everyone hypes this nastiness. I’m actually mad that I came to eat here.

I loved the history on the walls in the entrance. Please study the menu before going because it will NOT be explained. The portions are huge but lacked flavor. The iced tea was amazing and the cashier who cashed us out at the end was nice. A one time experience that I wouldn't have to have again

The food was what you want and expect. Got the pimento burger all the way and it was big, juicy and well seasoned. My wife had the fried chicken and she loved it. Definitely would recommend only getting one meal with the “a plenty” fries and onion rings. One plate can feed an army. We’ll be back!

I have to admit. I don't like the new buns they've switched to now. I've heard others say the same. These are darker and the taste is lacking.
I wish they'd bring the old ones back.

I saw Beacon Drive In on Diner Drive In and Dives so decided to try for dinner. The staff were kind and friendly. I ordered the chili cheeseburger A Plenty and a hot dog all the way, and sweet tea. The burger was good but the chili was ok on burger and hot dog. The tea was ok. The onion rings and fries were good too. I didn’t have room for dessert which was peach cobbler,pecan pie and can’t remember the other choices. I’ll try again without the chili and will save room for dessert.

OMG! I've been going to The Beacon for over 50 years. I live out town now but visit when I can. My most recent visit was my last! New owners finally ruined the old-fashioned taste of the food.
