High Thyme Cuisine

Visiting from OKC, our family recommended the beef tenderloin dinner with mashed potatoes and asparagus...they said it's their favorite place on Sullivans Island. They were so RIGHT! The meal was cooked absolutely perfectly and the tenderloin was pure beef...no fat or grizzle. Potatoes were delicious and the asparagus crispy...everything served hot. The service was excellent!

Unfortunately, I did not take pictures because of the group we were with, but everyone enjoyed everything that was ordered! I got the spinach and mushroom risotto, which was beyond delicious! My husband got the halibut special and thought it was fantastic. For dessert we split a heavenly layered mascarpone, mousse, and chocolate ganache. I don’t know what it was called, but it was amazing! As busy as it was, our server was fantastic. It was really cute to sit on the porch to eat as well.

I’m always amazed there isn’t a line at this place when they open. The food is amazing and the service is excellent. Best shrimp and grits I’ve ever had and everything else I’ve tried is just as amazing. Probably one of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to flavor wise.

The specials are a fantastic delight. Everything on the menu is especially tasty.
Monday evenings are the best treats, but any night will do.

Our server was wonderful and she had great recommendations. The scallops were absolute perfection! My husband got the wreckfish and it was tender and seasoned well. I had the crab and shrimp cakes and they were also delicious and the grits were creamy and divine!

We were here on Friday night at about 7:30. We got lucky and only had to wait a few minutes for a table. The hostess was very welcoming. Our server was excellent in every aspect. We ordered the lamb meatball appetizer, which was very good. I ordered the shrimp and grits and hubby had the "petite" filet, which was not petite, but a good size. Both meals were outstanding! We highly recommend High Thyme if you are on Sullivans Island!

No wait on a Thursday night mid-May, with a table on the porch. The mussels were awesome with a delicious sauce that demanded more bread to soak up every drop. Lasagne was very flavorful, and the halibut special was perfectly cooked, and spinach was easily substituted for collard greens. Jessie was a great server with a very pleasant demeanor. Loved this place and will definitely return. Don’t miss it!
