The Longboard Reviews
Group of 7 with 2 birthdays, and we were greeted with a complementary round of mini frozen painkiller shooters! Our server was incredibly knowledgeable and helped us through the menu, she clearly enjoys her job!! I ordered the Wreckfish special; incredible! Others in our group loved their meals as well. We will certainly return on our next visit.
My family and I came into the heart of the island tonight for a late (9pm ) meal and we were having a horrible time finding seats at any restaurants due to our poor planning on July 4 weekend. (We’re from the SC coast; we know better!) Anyway, though The Longboard was just as packed as all the others, we were seated right away by the very kind, smiling hostesses. Our server, John, was doing great, but he had A LOT on his plate (seemed like at least half the dining room by that...read full review
We had an amazing time and meal. It was our son and daughter-in-laws 10th wedding anniversary and she picked the restaurant. Our server, Preston M. was exceptional, and very personable. He provided just the right amount of interaction to make us feel comfortable and appreciated with taking anything away from our family conversation. The food was wonderful, with a pleasant blend of unique flavors. We got the Yellow Fin Tuna with a coconut cream sauce. Our waiter described the...read full review

The Longboard offers a lively and fun atmosphere with friendly and helpful service, making it a great place to enjoy delicious food and drinks. The restaurant features a vibrant, beachy, and airy aesthetic with cute decor that enhances the overall experience. Guests highly recommend the shrimp and grits, bacon, and the special appetizer of pork belly Bao buns, which are considered delicious. The seafood is fresh, with the oysters being notably large and well-paired with house-made hot sauce. Both raw and grilled oysters are well-prepared and reasonably priced, adding to the appeal.
While some may experience delays during lunch service, dishes like the cucumber salmon sushi wrap and seared yellow fin tuna are worth the wait. The charred romaine lettuce, tile fish Dayboat, and pan-seared scallops receive praise for their presentation and flavors. The street corn salad adds a bright contrast to the meal, and the coconut rice and charred broccolini that come with the Whole Fish are appreciated for their taste, even by broccoli haters. The menu also includes Asian and Latin-inspired accents, making the dining experience diverse and flavorful.
Overall, The Longboard excels in ambience, drinks, and appetizers, with a wide range of cocktails and beer specials to enjoy. It is a beautiful, clean, and hospitable place that keeps guests coming back for more. The restaurant's oyster hour, featuring grilled and raw oysters, along with cocktails, makes it a popular spot for a relaxed and enjoyable outing.
