We stopped in at The Obstinate Daughter for lunch after hearing it was a must-try foodie spot in the area. The vibe at lunch was definitely chill, although we did make a reservation, and our server was excellent and very knowledgeable about the menu and also on top of ensuring we had everything we needed.

For the food:
- we got the local lettuce salad (blew us away - INCREDIBLE! and pairs so well with a carb heavy meal of pizza and pasta)
- had to try the radiatore (good and fresh house made pasta, but in my opinion not the best vodka sauce I’ve ever had, nevertheless a great bite)
- five fathom hole pizza (excellent, and if I’m ever back I’d love to try the other pizzas - so many great flavor combinations)

I’d definitely recommend if you are in the area and enjoy a great meal!

We stopped here on a whim for a quick lunch. We were very surprised to see how beautiful it is inside! Our server was amazing and very helpful with the menu. We got the Frogmore Chowder to start. One of the best chowders I've had in a while! I got the Lowcountry Shrimp Roll as my entree. It had such a good flavor. It also came with polenta fries. I wasn't a huge fan of them since they were over salted. Everything else was amazing! I would love to come back again and try more of their delicious food!

Vodka pasta AMAZING. Keep going back just for that. GF pasta is soooo good! Service not great and atmosphere just okay (very crowded inside); however, pasta is so good I will keep coming back.

My favorite restaurant in Charleston. I always get an order of Radiatore and The Old Danger is to die for. They do not alter their plates at all even upon request which is somewhat frustrating. Otherwise the food is amazing.

This is one of the best places in Charleston. The drinks were some of the best drinks I’ve had and the food was amazing. We got two pastas and a pizza and probably could get those same options every time it was that good. The short rib was the best short rib I have ever had.

WOW! Located upstairs and was so cute! The food was phenomenal and I had one of the specials: seared sea scallops with corn, red pepper, and chorizo + stone crab claws with black garlic aioli. For dessert, I was given a blackberry lemon sorbetto for my birthday. This combined with the cheesecake we ordered was perfect!

Perfection, no notes. Shrimp roll was beautiful; the flavor and texture of every bite was honestly perfect. Thank you :)

Edit to add:
I went solo on a Monday around lunch time and got a table right away, there were a few open tables. No wait. Lovely server and host.

Went here for dinner and really enjoyed it. Definitely make a reservation at least two weeks in advance because it books up quickly.

For appetizers we had the flatbread and the Lowcountry frites, both of which were delicious. For entrees we tried the Radiatore and the Rutledge pizza, and everything came out well-timed and full of flavor.

Service was excellent. Our waiter was knowledgeable, friendly, and personable, which made the experience even better. The atmosphere was lively but still comfortable. A great spot for a night out.

Tried this establishment due to seeing it had gluten free options. After arriving and being sat did I discover there were 2 options. The waiter was friendly but kinda disappointing in a high tourist area there weren’t more options.
