“Came with family to get ice cream on a spring day - not that crowded when we arrived (just before traditional dinner time), but glad we made the stop. Excellent homemade ice cream, a large variety of flavors (not just all riffs on chocolate and caramel) and many ways to eat. They even have dairy-free flavors and use separate scoops to maintain the allergen boundary.Table seating inside and out with some benches up front facing the road. The staff was very friendly and courteous, patient with the smaller children with us. Overall, the place was very clean and had a great beach vibe to it.Excellent service and delicious ice cream!Dietary restrictions: They do have non-dairy options and are very careful about cross-contamination for those with allergies.“
“Every time we have gone in has been amazing customer service. Such friendly welcoming faces and good conversation. We’ve tried many pastries the employees recommended and the tastes are mouth watering delicious each hand made with love. I can’t ever just buy one thing, which is a pleasant issue I deal with at the gym and long walks.As I have frequented this joint in the past months, over and over again I get the Lobster Tail. The crispy crunch, the amazing crema chantilly. This isn’t to be confused with a smaller sfogliatelle. Oh no no no …this is a masterpiece.I currently hold in my possession one of these sought after pastries which I bought around the hours of 4-5pm on the 19th of April, 2024. I’m getting on a flight to Orlando. This wonderful delicacy is about to be tested by my mother who is, as we all know, one of the highest ranking judges in my book. “Great lit'l spot to grab a sandwich and freshly baked cookies, cakes, and other delicious baked goods. Kudzu has always been a bit pricey, so inflation has unfortunately added to the cost. Therefore, fair warning.The staff are friendly and sweet. There are isles to peruse for different foods, knick knacks, and bread. Plenty of parking within the shop area.“
“I ordered a Chantilly cake for a special occasion. Everything was fresh, delicious and very well-made. The buttercream frosting was just right, not too sweet. “Such a great bakery! We were on vacation in Myrtle beach and it was my boyfriend’s birthday. I ordered a Reese cheesecake online through there website in advance and picked it up on his birthday. “There is a man working at this location (I dont know his name) but he has blonde ends, blue eyes, younger (maybe 20? I'm honestly not sure ha) and the SWEETEST SOUL I have ever seen. I watched him greet several people, remember their names, and be SO personable with them. I wish I knew his name so I could give proper shout out. Great customer service and what a great representation for the company as well. He also was working very quick and efficiently. You guys have a gem here!“

“We stopped by their little bakery area for lunch. While we have had the baked goods before, we saw on Facebook that they have a weekly soup and sandwich option. The carrot ginger soup was so good, it was restaurant ready. Sandwich was hot and cheesy. For just $3.50 each, it made for an inexpensive, but high quality lunch. We also tried some pastry items, most of which were great. It is always fun to look in the windows and see what the classes are studying based on the white boards. Some day we will make a reservation for the dining room.“

“Benjamin’s Bakery and Cafe is a staple in the Surfside Beach community. If you don’t mind delicious food and great hospitality, Benjamin’s Bakery is for you. I’ve been eating here for my entire life and there is no other place that I enjoy more to eat my bagels and pastries. One day the owner Lee, was kind enough to give me a tour of their hidden kitchen! I then understood where the bread orders that go to Gulfstream Café (the restaurant I work at) come from! Located right on 3rd Ave South and a block down from Surfside drive makes this the perfect place for a pre-beach breakfast run! I want to thank Lee for having the best hospitality around, and for recognizing the people who appreciate the bakery the most!“
