My family and I go to this restaurant multiple times when we vacation at the beach. We go to the beach a couple times a year and we always go here. I do not understand why anyone would go to these chain restaurants when this gem is right there. They have the absolute by far best omelette and their biscuit and gravy is awesome. Runny grits for starters. Frozen sausage patties. Waitress loves her locals but we got mediocre service. Was able to overlook this but…NO TO GO DRINKS! $3 for an iced tea and I can’t take the rest of my cup to go. I had beverage left in my cup but couldn’t get a to-go cup. Then she got an attitude when I inquired why I paid for the item but couldn’t take it with me.
Stopped and decided to give this place a try and SOOO GLAD WE DID! We had the pancakes special with bacon and we added scrambled eggs on the side. It was AWESOME! The pancakes were fluffy and cooked just right along with the rest of the meal. Eggs are REAL eggs and not powdered eggs. Coffee was on point. They bring out real cream for your coffee. Seems to be family-owned. Everyone was there to serve and give you a great experience. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
