We brought a couple with us for their first time there.We had been praising everything about it but last night we ordered off the regular menu,not the early bird specials and the portions were smaller than what we had on the early bird specials! “The food in Surfside is very good and service is as well, but, check for hidden fees and wrong prices. A side salad is an up charge of $2.50 as a side which we were not informed. I ordered a $10 drink during happy hour but was charged $14.90. So check before you order and check your ticket. Other than that you will enjoy the meal.“

We placed a catering order for 24 people and worked with David who helped me come up with our menu. Everyone raved about the brisket and pulled pork. The Mac and cheese was delicious. We discovered they don’t do separate checks. They explained, but for 4 people adding up the bill isn’t hard. Most restaurants will do separate checks. The other thing I noticed, they’re portions have gotten smaller. The first time I had Mama’s sauce I could barely finish it. Not this time. Significantly smaller. I hope they change their portions.“
