“Unexpectedly Fabulous. This among the best Mexican restaurants in South Carolina. The atmosphere is gorgeous and very upscale. The service is excellent, fast, efficient, friendly, and professional. They go above and beyond and the teamwork is impeccable. The food is among the best we have ever had.
To put this review in perspective, we lived in Southern California for 6 years and have eaten at thousands of Mexican restaurants throughout the U.S. and Mexico. We know the regional styles of San Diego, New Mexica, Colorado, San Antonio, and even Virginia Beach. We now live in Florida and have eaten at restaurants throughout the state.
Starting with the chips they are good, but the salsa average with fresh cilantro. However, they have hot salsa on request that is terrific. The “top shelf Margarettas” are wonderful. We ordered them with Don Julio. They were perhaps the most refreshing Margarettas we ever had. Orange flavor with strong tequila and line. My only regret is that we only had time for lunch. I would have ordered a larger meal with more Margarettas if we were there for dinner.
The beef flavoring in the tacos and enchiladas was excellent. Some restaurants serve beef that tastes either like dirty socks or has no flavor. At El Pueblo, the beef was perfect, seasoned the way it should be. The beans were perfect too, not too dry or runny. Additionally, I also ordered the chicken soup, which was among the best I ever had; very flavorful broth with lots of fresh avocados, fresh chicken, and many other vegetables. For our vegetarian friends, like my wife, they have lots of vegetarian options, including the rice and the beans.
To sum up, don’t pass up this magnificent Mexican restaurant. It’s among the best on the east coast.“

“Had dinner last nite the Stromboli and salad were eexcellent. BUT THE BEST PART WAS when I woke up this morning at the hotel I realized I had left my purse with my ID, credet cards and travel money hanging on the chair where I was setting. Went back this morning when it opened and they had my purse. Thank you so much. Not only good food, good service. But honest and friendly workers.“
