2-28-26 I order two plates for me & my family had been seeing this place for sometime now so decided to stop by on a nice Saturday. Staff was very friendly. Ordered a large rib plate(4 bones) ribs was fairly dry little flavor baked beans taste right out the can. Macaroni & cheese was very plain no cheese really hash & rice very mushy. Second plate I ordered was a turkey wing plate got macaroni & cheese for one side & collard greens for the other this plate was my wife’s plate she mentioned the turkey wing was dry try to get me to try it I didn’t want to try it said her greens was canned greens just put onto her plate both of our macaroni & cheese sides were alike along with the mushy hash & rice. Also ordered two hotdogs that was the star of the show. Altogether I spent $54 just to end up having to order Chinese food shortly after returning home.

I’m extremely disappointed. I live in a different city and still hype this place up all the time. After a rough day, I told my friend the only good thing about it was getting True BBQ. We showed up and they were closed 20 minutes early. Staff were inside, lights on, looked right at us, and couldn’t even offer a quick explanation or apology.
Closing early is one thing. Ignoring loyal customers through the window is another. Trust broken. I won’t be recommending this place anymore.

If you want the best hash in SC and don't want to hang out with me, come here! 18 bucks will get you a chopped BBQ plate with rice and hash and two other sides plus your choice of sauce. Well worth the drive and time - great food, good service, be prepared to wait a second for your food.

We are visiting from DFW and wanted to try South Carolina BBQ from a small local business. We read reviews and wanted to see what all the fuss was about True BBQ, and Im glad we did. We were pleasantly surprised they had indoor seating/dining room because we looked on the website ahead of time and it said it was carry out only.
We bought a platter of chop, hash & rice, greens and baked beans with mustard bbq sauce. Very good and customer service was outstanding. If you want to support a small business drive out to West Columbia Triangle Angle City, it doesn't disappoint!.

I travel all across the US and enjoy little home restaurants, but I have to say my experience at True BBQ was hands down my favorite. The hash and rice was awesome, which I had never experienced before and the service along with the food was phenomenal. Mr Milton is a true genuine friend that calls you family as soon as you enter the doors.
