The Wooden Nickel is a friendly small town bar, with talented customers, who love to sing Karaoke.SHELL YA! did a great, crowd involved show there and it was a huge success. We will be there every month, and sometimes twice. We are booked until September.. Thank you to the people of Crooks for being down to earth and for your warm welcome. “Could not have scripted a better experience. The team members were friendly the minute we walked in the door. Our server, wish I remembered his name, was knowledgeable and quick with service. I go through soda very quickly and he had my refills dropped at the table without me saying a word. The French dip is without a doubt one of the best around. Try it with the baby baked potatos. All of this with a very reasonably priced menu. My first trip there and I am hooked. This will be my go to dining option moving forward. Well done to the team at Safari. This place has it figured out.“

“Nice little bar. Good food options, more than many of the small town bars. Our waitress was new to waiting on tables but niceness she has and will serve her well. They had trivia night starting just as we left which sounded fun! We will come back again.Kid-friendliness: Our 3 year old was with us. Basic kids menu, she ate it all!“

“A good place to stop for dinner. We sat at the bar and I ordered the turkey club, which was huge. I paired it with grilled mixed vegetables, cooked to perfection. The hot burger had a tangy BBQ sauce and jalapeños. Service was prompt and welcoming. There is a casino attached to it.“
