Mediocre food with ridiculous prices. Do not recommend the Bison Tips.
We were celebrating our anniversary, and decided to choose this restaurant for our dinner, since it was recommended by many locals.
My husband and I ordered the Bison Tips and Wrangler burger to split and try both. We decided on the Bison Tips, despite them being $27. It was our anniversary, so we decided to take the chance with a more expensive dish. We were VERY disappointed. We received 6 pieces, which were very well done, instead of “medium” as we had ordered, served with a side of mediocre mashed potatoes and a lot of sauce which almost tasted like straight up balsamic vinegar. It was very hard to even finish the meal, but felt like we had to because of the price. We regretted ordering it. It was not at all worth the $27. I honestly wouldn’t have even paid half of that knowing the sauce was not good and kind of ruined the entire dish.the roll was just a plain old dinner roll.
Let’s talk about the burger for $17.99. It was actually $19.99 since we decided to get onion rings instead of fries, which a ridiculous price for what we received. The onion rings were FISHY. I mean REALLY FISHY. I assume these were fried in oil that had been used to fry lots of fish in it. We don’t really like fish, so it tasted awful to us. The burger was mediocre. Burger patty needs more seasoning and the burger did not come with enough bbq on it. Again, not worth the price.
Even after this experience, we still decided to get a skillet cookie. It was our anniversary after all. The skillet cookie was very good and well worth the price. To be completely honest, it’s the only reason I am giving 3 stars instead of 2. Although delicious, it did not make up for spending $50 on the very disappointing entrees.
Not sure if we will be back. If we do it will only be for the skillet cookie.

Was in town looking for a place to watch my team on Monday night football. This place was recommended by our campground so give it a whirl. The screens at the bar are older and smaller but okay whatever. Ordered food in the wings were pretty good. The burgers we ordered medium-rare came out without any color. Overdone. Service was so so with food delivered without silverware which we had to wait for. The kicker was with about 9 minutes left in the fourth quarter of a 3-point game the bartender announces that she's leaving, the bar is closed, and we have to leave. Unacceptable. We went across the street to the Gold Pan which was much better to watch a game. They don't have food but you can bring it in. Wish we would have done that to begin with.

The entire menu is delectable, especially the tatanka chislic. Full bar with plenty of beer options with several options on tap and they offer take-home growlers that they can refill each visit. It's my go-to place to eat each time I visit Custer.

I had the Buffalo Burger with American Cheese and Bacon along with beer battered onion rings. The onion rings were crunchy and delicios. The burger was in the top five burgers I have ever had. If you find yourself in Custer, SD you can't go wrong with this combo. I highly recommend it.

Stopped for a quick lunch, just had the soup but it was delicious and service was fast and friendly! Would definitely stop again for a big meal!
our server Michelle was not attentive, she never checked up on us, only came by when giving us our drink, taking order, and closing out. Disappeared for a long time. Was not very kind. Very short with us. Would only be back for the food. Not the service.

Walked in for lunch, the bartender came over with a shitty attitude, aggressively pulling the menus and slammed them down on the table, with no customer service, no greeting and very unwelcoming. So bad, my date felt uncomfortable and we left without dining!
