So worth the stop. Sports bar/restaurant, but the bar is separated from the restaurant by an actual wall, big selling point. Food and service were impressive. We had the Sparkling Chicken (I am not a chicken person and I generally avoid ordering chicken. That being said, oh my!!), Gourmet Mac and Cheese with salmon, started with Buffalo Stuffed Mushrooms and ended with Creme Brulee.

My husband raved about the stuffed mushrooms, and the fries were fresh and seasoned perfectly. Shout out to Alex, who went the extra mile to make sure my vegetarian meal was exactly right (and SO good!).

Such a fun place with great food! We stayed in Custer for our spring break vacation to Mount Rushmore and several places were still closed for the season. We were thrilled Buglin Bull was open and definitely not disappointed! Our server, Nicole, was the best and we certainly recommend!

Not a lot of choice in March in Custer, but we gave this place a try after trying Custer wolf the day before. Food was good, waitress friendly, atmosphere nice! But definitely a bit on the expensive side. Kids loved the creme brulee, it was gone in a second!

Overall 3.5 rating. I got the whiskey sirloin which was very tough but cooked how I specified (medium rare). The sauce was good. The broccoli was mush and soggy, cooked way too long. Mashed potatoes were just okay. One of the few places in Custer with a liquor license (not just beer) so that's a plus and nice they have a cocktail menu. I would go here primarily for the drinks, not really the food unfortunately.

We sat at the bar. The bartender provided great service and was very nice. Good atmosphere in a really neat old building with stone on the walls, a tin ceiling and multiple elk heads. The food was good. We had mushroom caps, a Rueben and a burger.
