We did the combination jeep ride / chuckwagon cookout. The jeep ride was terrific. Roger our driver was very personable and knowledgeable. The dinner was a disaster. They made a big deal about how everybody wanted their steak cooked. They also touted that the cook crew was the best and did this every night. When we went through the serving line twice I stated both my wife and I wanted a medium rare steak. When we got back to our seats, we had a chance to check our steaks. Both...
What a great way to end your night. All members of the hayride are nice and the singers are great. Getting everyone involved in singing and dancing, and yes we even made a circle of about 60 people and all did the hokey hokey. Dinner was excellent. Definitely a must do if visiting Custer State Park.
We really enjoyed this excursion. Billy was very entertaining and involved the guests. Marty was our driver and took care of everyone, even those of us with mobility issues. If you are wheelchair bound, this wouldn't work but I am dependent on a cane and he made sure to help me get on and off the wagon safely. It unexpectedly turned very cold but he even had blankets in the wagon. Food was ok but not the best cuts of steak. You aren't there for fine dining. Enjoy...
