We travel the country in our RV. Our favs are Gus’s World Famous Chicken and Hattie B’s, this chicken is the same level of high quality feud chicken!!!!! Definitely worth the stop and any wait to taste this wonderful food.

While spending some time in Custer, we stopped at Dakota Broasted for lunch before an afternoon of kayaking at Sylvan Lake.
We ordered at the window and had a great conversation with the gentleman taking our order. Even though it was brief, it was one of those interactions that really stood out, genuine and memorable. If he was the owner, it speaks volumes about how he approaches his business. It wasn’t just about serving food, it was about creating a friendly, personal experience.
During our chat, we learned that their chicken is never frozen and before we even sat down at one of the outdoor benches, we had a feeling the food was going to be fantastic.
It absolutely was. The broasted chicken and potato wedges were the best we’ve ever had. Thankfully, we had leftovers, which were just as good later that evening and even the next morning.
If you’re in the area, do yourself a favor and stop by, you won’t be disappointed.
Also, be aware, the box of wedges is huge and easily enough to feed two to four people.
It may be years before I find myself back in Custer, but if Dakota Broasted is still there, I’ll definitely be back.

OMG if you want the best CHICKEN you’ve ever had. Then I would definitely stop and get you some. It’s like eating and your Nona’s or Moms house. I’m sad I don’t have this back home, but we got some for the car ride.

On vacation drove Needles Highway early in the morning, went to 1881 Courthouse Museum, then arrived here for lunch.
Being from Chicagoland area, my Dad, twin brother, and I enjoyed our conversation with the owner but most importantly ate some of the best broasted chicken and potato wedges you’ll find anywhere.
The food is never frozen and for a 5 year old establishment, these family recipes better last many years to give vacationers and locals a top meal.
Keep up the great work and service, there aren’t many places like you out there.

I am from Gillette coming through today I saw this cute little place on the side of the road. I stopped and had their gizzard platter. It was delicious!! Convenient just pulled up to the drive-through around to the other window to pick up. Order was fast, which I was really surprised how fast it was and very cost-efficient. Can't wait to go back!!
