Delis in Custer, SD

“This isn’t any ordinary deli in Custer SD. The family here really transports you to a deli from New York. My partner and I were getting lunch just before heading onward with our travels and decided to get some sandwiches to go. It had good star ratings but that was it. The photos were underwhelming but we decided to try it anyway. We were totally blown away needless to say. I couldn’t decide between the Philly, the meatball sub or the Custer Sand. I asked the lady working behind the counter and she said she would get the Philly. The banter between her and who I suspect was her husband was delightful. They travel for the best ingredients and cook much of the menu items themselves. Everything made was made to order. I did try a slice of the pastrami by itself and a single meatball. I couldn’t pass up the opportunity and I’m sure glad I didn’t. This deli was definitely one of a kind and far from home. My only critic, they could use a professional photographer to showcase their delicious menu items. Don’t pass it by, go try it for yourself. You won’t be disappointed.
