Mostly a dessert place, but a good spot for a light meal. We stopped here for dinner. I had the turkey bacon panini and my wife had the chicken pot pie. We both got peach pie with peach ice cream for dessert. Everything was good but the pie and ice cream is the real reason to come here.

If you're visiting the Mount Rushmore area in South Dakota, this is a must stop place in Custer. My son and I each got a slice of strawberry rubarb pie and a scoop of vanilla ice cream. So good!

We had the pot. Pie and the chili. The pot pie was awesome.We then each had pie because we'll it is a pie place after all! They were delicious.Very busy and small place.

Our family of seven (4 generations) from Texas had dinner at the Purple Pie Place while staying at Custer visiting the Black Hills area. My daughter and I knew after seeing all the pie options that we wanted to share a sandwich and have a piece of pie. We had the Turkey Panini and it was very good. Others in our family ordered the Chicken Pot Pie, the Mac n Cheese w/Bacon, the Chili-Cheese Dog and the Chicken Salad Sandwich. Everything was very good! But the best was the homemade pies!! We had the Peanut Butter Pie, the Strawberry Rhubarb Pie and the Strawberry Rhubarb Jalapeno Pie. The Strawberry Rhubarb was DELISH!!! My daughter loved the Peanut Butter Pie!! My grandsons both had ice cream in waffle cones and said it was yummy! Everything was so good we decided we had to visit the Purple Pie Place again our last night in Custer. Again the pies were Delicious!!! The server was very friendly, the same one both nights! The restaurant itself is so cute and very clean! Would definitely recommend eating at the Purple Pie Place!!
