Arrived at 7pm on a Sunday night without a reservation. Wait was only 15 minutes and we were seated in the bar area upstairs. Our server had the outside tables and half the inside bar area. He did a great job with the amount of coverage expected of him.

Ordered right away. It took over 50 minutes for our food to arrive. All the while we were forced to listen to an overserved 70+ lady cackle at high volumes in the low ceiling bar area.

The half of the steak frites that were cooked to the Medium ordered were very tasty. The completely raw other half was a different story. Normally I would have sent it back but I wasn’t willing to wait another half hour. The “extra crispy fries” on the menu were no way shape or form slightly crispy.

The shrimp scampi was very good. The Primavera was decent.

They charge an additional 4% if you use a credit card. Very disappointed in the dining experience. Would not return.

We had reservations last night. We were no more than seated and a large group of loud, obnoxious people who had obviously been drinking were seated by us. The wait staff politely asked them to use their inside voices to which they responded they better get used to it and too bad were not gonna be quiet and seceral other extremely rude comments. Noone else could have a conversation or enjoy their evening once the loud group that thought they were special came. Our guests were getting a headache so I asked if it was possible to move farther away but they were full so it wasn't an option. Several people had complained so the hostess politely asked them again to be considerate of others to which they stood up, created a huge scene and started swearing at everyone on their way out. I believe they left the bad review...the bad review should be of them and their behavior! Our food arrived...the Italian pheasant and the pork shack. Food was fabulous, wine a great & everyone enjoyed the rest of their dining experience once the extremely rude customers left. So glad the wait staff didn't allow them to destroy everyone else's evening!!!!! Several tables thanked them for standing up for the rest of the customers!! We all gave them a good tip!!! We will definitely be back and will recommend to all! We have eaten here many times before and the food is always amazing with top notch service!!!

Save yourself time and don’t go here . Go to Snitches or Mavericks instead!!
After making reservations months in advance for a party of 10
( mature adults all over 53) the hostess Shanna White came to our table after we had been seated and ask that we be as quiet as possible because of the acoustics in the room so that we didn’t “bother” other patrons. It’s almost impossible for that many people to “ be quiet” so we got up and left the restaurant. We understood she felt the need to speak to us because it’s her job. It isn’t her job to be so terribly rude and we should have been seated somewhere with better acoustics since there were so many of us.
Don’t waste your time with this place unless you plan on whispering during meal.

My wife and I had dinner at the Deadwood Social Club while visiting Deadwood, and it was a solid meal in a unique historic setting.

My wife ordered the Chicken Primavera with gluten free penne, featuring grilled chicken, pesto, and carrots. It was excellent and easily the standout dish of the evening. I had the grilled salmon, which was cooked well and was also very good.

As always, we put restaurants through a bit of a stress test. My wife has gluten and dairy allergies, while I manage Alpha Gal syndrome, a tree nut allergy, and diabetes. The kitchen was able to accommodate the gluten free pasta request, which we appreciated.

The atmosphere is one of the restaurant’s biggest strengths. The historic building and the old photographs covering the walls make for a fun dining experience and really add to the character of the place.

Service was just okay. Nothing was wrong, but it also wasn’t particularly memorable.

One thing worth knowing before you go: the restaurant adds a 4% surcharge for credit card payments, so if you’d rather avoid the extra fee, bring cash.

Overall, we will probably pick something else a try if we return to Deadwood. Worth it if you are heading there just for the historic atmosphere. It’s a great stop if you’re spending time in Deadwood.

Very disappointed with this meal. Restaurant was maybe half full on a Tuesday evening but they were out of many items on the menu that people come for. After we did order, food took almost an hour to come out. Was going to ask to just pay for drinks and app we had already but server didn't check on us during the time for us to change our plan. Food was mediocre quality at best.

2026- can back because I had such a good experience last time. Diego was wonderful! This time, they were out of a lot of items. The shrimp scampi had no flavor. The bison pasta also had no flavor. I was so excited to come back.
But sadly, based on this experience of food, I don’t know if I would come back unless someone else suggested it.

2021- We plan on coming back every year to eat here! Would highly recommend to anyone in deadwood! Fett Alfredo or the sirloin! BUT THOSE MUSHROOMS! Would highly recommend! Can’t wait to come back! Food was on point! Service wasn’t as good as the food.

My husband and I wanted to try the Deadwood Social Club because it had been a little while since we had been there. This is not the Deadwood Social Club that we would’ve recognized from two years ago.I ordered shrimp scampi, it was good. My husband ordered the bison pasta. He ordered it medium rare, and it came very rare.
We were in a small room, which was fine, but then they seated a party of 10 people, and two couples additionally in the room. It became so loud that we could not carry on a conversation when we were leaning into each other and trying to hear what each other was saying (and we do not have hearing problems). It was so loud, that one of the other couples in the room commented very loudly to the room. “I can’t hear a thing. It’s so loud in here.”
We live in the area, and will not be back.

Waited 45min for a table. And then was told that half the items on the menu weren’t available (happened to a table next to us as well). The food that was actually available to order was mediocre. Not much of a mood in the place either, you can hear other tables conversations. Friendly staff at least, felt bad for the lack of food inventory management they had to deal with.

This was a surprise. You enter through Saloon 10, walk through the darkened saloon (and its sawdust covered floors), take the elevator up one floor, and you find yourself in a fine dining establishment. The staff have very good table service. The food definitely is a bit more expensive than some of the other restaurants on Main Street, but the quality is very high. Potion sizes are right-sized; not too much, but satisfying.

The food was great. I’ve been traveling in South Dakota for several days and it was the best meal I’ve. The steak, potato and salad were all delicious. Very fun old west atmosphere too.

We got seated relatively quickly and had alright service but the food there was terrible. I got the shrimp scampi which gives you the same amount of food as the kids noodles with 6 shrimp thrown on top. Not only was there very little food but the shrimp tasted horrible and the noodles were dry. I would never recommend this place to anyone and would never come back.

10 outta 10. The food was amazing. I had the pretzel bites and shrimp scampi and they are the best dishes I have ever had. Our server, Troy, was the best server. He was so sweet and on point with everything. Troy, you should be a voice actor or radio star 🌟

Don’t waste your time. Waited over thirty minutes at the bar so we could take drinks on the rooftop. They had one bartender who was also waiting on tables….ridiculous (not blaming her at all, shame on management for working her like that). Food was over priced and we wouldn’t even consider eating there.
