About Alpine Inn
Alpine Inn Reviews
One of our family's all time favorite places to eat! Over the years, the Alpine Inn has never failed to exceed our expectations of service and food quality. If you are looking for some down home German cuisine, this is the place. They are 5 stars on service, decor, food quality and reasonable prices!
Me and my family went to eat at the Alpine inn and ordered the Filet mignon for me and my wife. It did Not taste like a filet mignon and was super chewy and rough , I had to spit out every bite because it was not edible. I spoke with the hostess and she swore up and down that the steaks were real filet mignon and that they butterfly cut the filet mignon and that they are low quality steaks to keep the prices low. I told the hostess that the steaks taste like low quality tenderized...read full review

The Alpine Inn offers a delicious bacon-wrapped filet mignon and a vegetarian option for dinner, along with excellent house Bellinis. The restaurant features a variety of delectable desserts, such as a chocolate tower and key lime cheesecake. The service is immaculate, and while it is cash-only, the steaks are worth the price. Located in the Black Hills, it provides a breathtaking atmosphere, especially when beautifully decorated for special occasions.
Customers have praised the large portions and the stunning dinner experience just 15 minutes from Mt. Rushmore. The filet mignon, cooked to perfection, and the Spatlese primavera are standout entrees. The beer and wine selections are excellent, and the dessert options, including bread pudding drizzled with caramel and pumpkin strudel, are amazing. The restaurant is busy, so guests may need to wait, but many agree it is a rare and beautiful find worth the visit. Lunch is also served, but the Alpine Inn is closed on Sundays.
The wait can be long, but the food is great, and guests can enjoy music and a beer while they wait. The bacon-wrapped filets and wedge salads are highly recommended, and the desserts are exceptional. The evening meal offers three choices, all at a reasonable price. Visitors agree that the Alpine Inn is a must-try, with some of the best food in the area.
