The ice cream is delicious! And portions are Giant. Definitely try the Thomas Jefferson's original ice cream! Vanilla may sound boring but it is very good. Huckleberry is also good; tastes a little like blueberry. They have large waffle bowls, we don't have in my area at ice cream shops. The staff was very busy and they worked hard to get everyone taken care of. It was crowded inside but not impossible to find a seat. It's a little pricey for ice cream. But if you're only going to get to be there once, get yourself a treat.

Prices here are bit high for ice cream. Its $9 for 2 vanilla scoops in a cone and $8 for 1 scoop in a cone, so you are essentially paying a $1 premium for one more scoop. Regardless, the ice cream was still good and it was a fun quirky experience trying the original Thomas Jefferson recipe!

Great ice cream it seems they hire a lot of English not first language people. Which is normally fine but when I went was huge issue I didn’t understand what I paid for and the customer before had to go back to try and get a refund on ice cream? Cause was double charged.

Best way to end the day at Mount Rushmore! Who knew the Mount Rushmore carvers had a baseball team? Somehow I missed seeing their uniforms, but the ice cream is a real treat! Flavors are fairly limited, how about some additions, like"carvers' favorite" with chunks to look like granite? Great price: two dips for $6.

Extremely rude workers!! Opened at 11am and customers were ready to order. A woman worker comes out and yells at everyone in line that we shouldn’t be in line yet and we should not get in line until the open at 11, not before. Then the workers kept peeking out looking at the line and didn’t come out and even start until 5 after or so. If you open at 11 you should be ready and start taking orders AT 11! You’re working for a national monument where people come from around the world so of course there is going to be a line ready to order as soon as you open. We gladly walked out without ordering. Very few flavors and high priced ice cream is not worth supporting rude workers! They could use some serious training on customer service…
