Scott, the owner is the bomb!! Great guy, great character, funny, very nice and accommodating! He's the maintenance guy the desk guy, the bell hop, the dog walker, and the maid!!! He cleans just like his grandma taught him years ago!!He let us stay after we couldn't find anything in previous towns at 2:30am and with my Rottweiler puppy! He even took her out to potty for me ha ha! What motel owner does this, in this corrupt world!!His hospitality goes way beyond anyone could ever imagine!!His rooms are clean enough to eat off the floors, although vintage decor! His beds are so comfy!I pray I get to stay with him again in the future!! I hands down recommend this place!P.S. the little dinner next door was really great also!

This was a perfect spot to stay during our cross country journey. Like the other reviews mention, some may be put off by the exterior but what matters most to us is safety, cleanliness, and allowing dogs. Hutch's checked all our boxes and had friendly service to match. Definitely will stay again the next time we pass through!Food & drinks: Our breakfast was fantastic (highly recommend the cinnamon roll) and ready to go pretty quick so we could get back on the road.

Driving through SD, we wanted a good ol breakfast plate. Visited Hutch's, loved it. Basic breakfast menu. Not fancy but very solid, we enjoyed it. Good way to see local life in SD. Pleasant service and delicious oatmeal cookies to buy to-go.

This is a weed hotel. When I asked if they allowed people who smoke weed, he said well I can’t control what people do in their room. When I asked to smell the room, he got very upset and started mouthing off at me. I started to feel unsafe with the degree of anger he was showing and hightailed it out of there.

Great place. Right off of I90 and quick back on. Convenience store on one side and restaurant on the other side. Room was comfortable and huge. I will definitely come through this way again and pitstop. Very welcoming gentleman.

From the start, this place is just a little off of I-90 and it's an older place, not trying to sparkle your eyes with glitz and glamour. But so far it's QUIET and that's what you want if you want rest. The room is spacious and clean, bathroom recently remodeled and in working order. The air conditioner is working without being loud. At this time, the TV wasn't working, but that will be addressed in the morning. The price is very reasonable, especially if you've been traveling all day and haven't seen other lodges. I'll see if anything changes my mind between now and when the alarm goes off.

I have stayed at hundreds of motels/hotels in pretty much every state. This is the first one I just walked out of after being there for an hour. I could not take it. It was 90 degrees out and after having the AC on for an hour it did not work. Then the smell in the entire hotel, from what I beleive was coming from the owners kitchen almost made me vomit. I could look past the carpet from the 70's and the overall run down condition of the Motel put the oder and heat was unbearable. I just left....I find it very curious the number of good reviews, that was not my experience.

Lovely mom and pop motel.Great price. Felt very safe and it was quiet. Staff was very nice and room was clean.The older decor is part of the charm.The only thing I would suggest is softer thicker sheets.

Most importantly it's clean, and no sign of bed bugs! Looks sketchy from outside and the old 70's furniture is a blast from the past. Bathroom was clean. The hall was reminded me of the shining. It's prices appropriately. Probably it's the cleanest pet friendly motel I've ever stayed in.

Mattress was great. Staff was great. Room was clean. If you’re looking for a nice place to stay on your trip stop here. It’s not the Hilton but it’s clean and comfortable, quiet. Free wi-go. Staff is very nice.

Great local diner! We love to stop in when we drive through South Dakota. The food is good, classic, diner food. It fills you up for cheap (two of us can eat lunch for $25-30). They're always very friendly and efficient. Also two gas options right there so a good all in one stop.

We had some car issues and the Night manager was so helpful and kind to me and my kids. Nice enough room, we've all needed a bed from being on the road next door has a lovely lil coffee shop Cafe for breakfast.

They have been so helpful to us, it’s a nice homey motel that is clean and quiet. There’s not much to do around here but Jet Lanes has some pretty good fried chicken.
