Clean rooms, good food, and kind staff!
The rooms and building are a bit dated, but it is one of the cleanest hotels I've stayed in. They were super helpful even with a 2am arrival. The breakfast at the restaurant was the classic all American diner and super affordable. Great way to start the day, I'll be returning the next time I'm passing through.

The service was top notch. We called them past midnight, caught in a storm, and the owner was gracious enough to be available to accommodate us at such short notice. The rooms were in a neat condition and felt retro and cool. For the prices they offer at, it is a total steal! Also check out the diner/cafe they run next door. It felt like I was transported to the 70s. They also mentioned that this is a town with no crimes. The owner joked that one can leave the cars open overnight...read full review

Hutch's Motel, Cafe & Lounge is a hidden gem located in Presho, South Dakota, just off the I-90 exits. This family-owned establishment has been running since 1967 and is known for its exceptional hospitality. Despite its vintage decor, the rooms are immaculately clean and large, providing a comfortable stay. The owner, Scott, goes above and beyond to ensure a pleasant experience, even offering help with transportation when needed. The cafe serves delicious breakfast, including a fantastic cinnamon roll, and offers very good food at exceptionally reasonable prices. Visitors can expect a warm welcome, easy access on and off the interstate, and a taste of local life in SD, making it a great spot for a break from driving.
