Great place! Incredible service! Kristen, Ari, and Nichole (spellings?) are the best!
No food service, but they allow you to bring in food from other places. Popcorn and pretzels are available for free.

Management treated my communication style itself as the problem, but could not identify any specific misconduct when asked.

No threat was identified. No disruption was identified. No inappropriate statement was identified. No policy violation was identified. The only thing management could point to was that my way of talking made a staff member uncomfortable.

That is a serious problem. Not everyone communicates through polished, socially standard small talk. Some people are direct, intense, literal, awkward, unusual, or difficult to read. That does not automatically make them unsafe, inappropriate, or disruptive.

In my experience, this establishment did not evaluate what I actually said or did. It validated subjective offense and converted an unusual communication style into a customer issue.

The manager was otherwise pleasant, but on this issue, management failed to apply an objective standard. Staff discomfort was treated as evidence by itself, even after no concrete conduct could be identified.

That is not customer service. That is arbitrary enforcement against anyone who does not perform “normal” correctly.

Also worth noting: this is not a meaningful food stop. Food availability appeared limited to pretzels and similar snack items, with no real food-service capability beyond that.

This hotel is rustic feeling and more unique then your run of the mill hotels with older furniture pieces. Perhaps a bit of a remodel or upgrade should be considered but for what you pay for this isn’t a great place to stay. It was cleaned well and no bad smells, except that as I was passing one room smelled like there were people smoking in it but that isn’t their policy so not the hotels fault. The pool is fun for the kids. Billiard table and few other games available but you have to use coins to activate it.
The only complaint I would give is the breakfast is less than desirable, toast cereal and waffles being basically the only options, and the first time we stayed there was no milk for the cereal, so the second time around we just planned for a different breakfast. But still worth the stay for what we payed for during the Christmas/New Year season, just something to consider.
The staff were also nice, and if we travel this area again we would definitely be staying here again.

I walked in and walked out immediately. I wouldn't call it a casino, they have like 3 slot machines and the rest are the quarter ones. The bar is creepy.

Had an absolutely amazing experience here. Used to frequent the bar many years ago, the glow up is real! Everything about the bar is much cleaner than it used to be. Cozy environment, friendly staff, quick service and great drinks! Would highly recommend going if you are looking for a low-key relaxed vibe. They also do karaoke too on Friday nights!

The ladies bartending were fantastic! So fun to be around! Low key and quiet when we went on a Friday evening. No actual food there (it's attached to Perkins) but they had some yummy snacks. Even the carrot cake with raisins 🤣

Ari was amazing made the night so much better now they have pool tables but you have to leave the bar and the great vibe and I don’t want to go to another room by myself to play please move the pool tables

Love the gate in the restroom.
