“What can I say? It’s cheap American Chinese food that fills a much needed void when you have the craving. A LOT of food for your money and it’s quite tasty. It’s not going to win the approval of Gordon Ramsey, but I would definitely order again. Four stars because some of the fried items are a little greasy and the ragoons left something to be desired…but, other than that it was very good, hot, and fresh.“

“There is a reason why these guys have been here since I was in HIGH SCHOOL. My freshman Year (2008) was the first time I went here with my brother - we used to come here all the time on the weekends JUST FOR the orange chicken & rice and to this day I still come and get the same thing. (And send pictures to my brother of course "look what I got! 😝"

-since then I've seen many restaurants come and go from the food court, but they are still here!

“Absolutely delicious. I was in Custer for a week and drove up to Rapid City to get some sushi. (Not that Rapid City is a well-known hot bed of sushi, I just don't live anywhere near a sushi restaurant, so I take advantage when I can.) Anyway, well worth the drive.

The fried oysters appetizer was perfectly done with a sauce that I am saving as a dip for other things. All of the rolls I got were perfectly balanced. The Ace Roll was my favorite.

Lovely family running it as well.

I will definitely be returning the next time I am in the area, and I recommend you visit this place if you are in Rapid City.“

“It's my all-time favorite Chinese buffet! Sara, Danny, Denny, and the rest of the staff are the tops! The food is the best in Rapid City! I love the sushi bar! They have about 20 different varieties of dishes. Four different Chinese soups. All fantastic! All kinds of different beer! I love this place!!!!!

The cook even made a special bowl with all of his favorite sauces for one of our fighters. Our server engaged with us and made sure we had what we needed at all times! “We love Golden Phoenix! We order take out more often but have gone in for a few date nights there. The waitress, Patty, we have gotten at least two of the times and probably more is so efficient and impressive. She could out serve 5 waitresses! Not to mention keeps your water topped off, and has brought me something I needed without me saying a word to her 2x now. I love when you eat there the food comes out so hot you have to let it cool down to even eat! Thank you for the good food and the best service.“
