I loved this place, took my dessert to go given I was so full! One of the best Lobster rolls had in a while, order it with shrimp on the side (chef's kiss). I got there 30 minutes before closing and staff was still great. Sweet Potatoes are so yummy, I know I know, I love them, I can't help it. Didn't try the steak, but I know they are good when everything else is pleasing to the palate.
This is a high end steakhouse. It's really hard to find a better steak anywhere. If you miss the French Onion Soup, no worries, it's common at best, but you aren't there for the soup. The bourbon mashed sweet potatoes are extraordinary. Don't miss that side. And the crabcakes are way better than you'd expect outside a high end seafood place on a coast.
Overall a mixed experience. The dinner was okay but not something I would consider exceptional. The table service was really good but the kitchen service was horrible. They weren’t overly busy, yet it took over an hour for the food to arrive from the kitchen. If there was a problem in the back of house, that should have been communicated to us. Maybe comp and extra drink or something (by the way, they only serve beer and wine, no cocktails). Instead we sat there waiting for...
