It's beautiful, and very well kept.The camping is closed for the winter.Still, it's Perfect for RV stays year around.The cabins look amazing too.Noteworthy details: This is not a hotel this is a campgrounds mostly for RVs also has cabins.It's a beautiful area

This was absolutely one of the nicest RV parks we’ve ever stayed at. The owner was just the nicest guy, & gave us super personal service. It is a stunning location, right on a babbling creek. Very level, large spaces. Tons of green grass! We have already recommended it to folks we run into, & wish we had stayed longer!

What a wonderful stay we had at Horse Creek Resort. My wife and I wanted to explore South Dakota for our 1st time and we picked the perfect place to have as our ‘home base’. We rented the 100 year old log cabin, and it had a great mix of modern amenities blended with the charm of the age of the home. We adventured all over the area and loved coming home to a fire pit and comfortable place at the end of each day. Garret, the new owner of the property, took great care of us and provided great service for our entire trip. Highly recommend Horse Creek Resort to people looking for a great getaway. Would be great for families with kids, too!

This is by far one of the nicest campgrounds we've ever been too. The sites are spacious and right next to the creek. I appreciated the nice picnic table and the high sided fire ring. Across the creek is an open space with additional picnic tables and fire rings. Garrett is very responsive to calls and texts. We will definitely be back!

I would like to tell people to stay away, so room is always available for my companions and I. Our stay was incredible. Morning coffee and evening drinks on the porch. Centrally located in the Black Hills, just 6 miles north of Hill City, Horse Creek Resort is a peaceful oasis. Of all the places I’ve stayed when visiting the Black Hills, this is the one I want to return to.

Garrett is a new owner and just opened up new spots down by the creek area. This camping area is clean, peaceful, and so beautiful! Close to Lake Pactola, UTV trails, Deadwood, Hill City, 30 minites from Rapid City and all the roads you would need to see the Black Hills! There are RV sites and cabins to rent along w a cute little camping spots by the creek. Everything you need to enjoy your stay in this area!

This was the perfect home base for our Black Hills camping vaca. Full hookups, right off the creek, beautiful scenery, little walking trails. Everything we wanted to do was within a 1/2 hour drive, amenities within 10 min. We really loved this spot. Spacious sites, with just enough privacy. It’s the first site we have ever stayed at where we did not need to level our camper at all! Highly recommend!

It's definitely the best place to stay if you're going to be staying in the Black Hills area. Hand down best service, great view beautiful quiet cabins. I'm definitely booking this place again on our next adventure.Nearby activities: Right in the middle of all the fun. Nothing too far away.
Rocked up pretty late at night, owner helped us get firewood and let us in! Gorgeous camping by a creek, under the stars :) if you’re in lake Sheridan area, highly recommend!

Stopped in for dinner after an 8 hour road trip. Was told there was a party and it may be an hour before we could be seated. This with a nearly empty bar area. Unless 20 more people were showing up, there was no reason not to seat us. And we were at least as well dressed as the rest of the diners.

The service was great; hostess and server were friendly, food came out in a timely manner. However, for the prices they asked, we expected their food to be much higher in quality. The food wasn't bad, but it was mediocre at best.

The prices are too high for the food served. It's ridiculous to ask $9.95 for a wedge of iceberg lettuce with dressing. Ridiculous!!Steaks were "ok" at best. The atmosphere is nothing to talk about. Not impressed. Service was ok.And finally the dessert - that my hubby felt we needed to order since we were out celebrating my birthday - was dry and the flavor was not enjoyed by either of us.We will not be recommending this restaurant nor returning.
