Yikes. Don’t order a decaf americano and expect coffee. Also don’t expect much in the customer service department. I realize these are kids but let’s give them some appropriate training - how to make a good decaf and how to handle customer concerns.

The manager that runs this property and a couple of her associates are absolutely rude and disrespectful. Noticeably during the early morning hours. Going to the same coffee shop, different times of the day, they seem to be friendlier. One gal, who is the most absolutely disrespectful out of them all, has sort of wavy long hair and round glasses. Looking at the other Google reviews, I believe that she has been negatively mentioned before. The level of disrespect that comes from the manager, that particular gal and a couple of her other associates, is beyond unacceptable. I spend nearly $5,800, sometimes more a year, on coffee from scooters. To be treated so poorly is enough to make my stomach turn . I've reached out to corporate a couple times and not a lot has been done about it. This is the worst scooters location in the nation! I do not recommend. Rapid City has a few. I would take the drive to go to a different location. Avoid this coffee shop!(Side note, the reason why I ever experienced the manager, was when I simply inquired why sometimes when I purchase the same exact coffee it is $1.50 more than other times. I was simply curious. Rather than explaining, she lost her cool completely and ever since her and a couple of her associates have been so absolutely, terribly disrespectful and rude to me and my family. Including my handicap mother. The experience I have had with the long wavy-haired girl with round glasses is an issue I was an experiencing with the app because the app changed with the update and I needed help and she refused to help me shoved the coffee into my hand out the window and slammed the drive-thru window. I was in shock.)

So this morning Wednesday we went inside to order a coffee. We are traveling and read this place has good reviews. The young girl with round glasses and a pony tail was so very rude. My husband asked for a peppermint mocha. She might as well of slapped him. She just said sternly no… that’s seasonal. So we ordered our drinks and when we received them they taste watered down and sugar free. Not what we ordered. I could live with a bad coffee but I think that it is so sad that people have to talk to others that way in service. She needs schooled. I would not recommend this place at all. Just being honest. Very expo as well.

We stayed at a hotel nearby and this became the spot we stopped for coffee every morning. We always had friendly service and I was shocked that a cup of coffee was only $1! And it was good coffee!

Great service at Scooter’s Coffee at this location, a lovely girl from Massachusetts attended us today she was very friendly and kind also the barista was fast , only a couple of minutes took for our coffee to be on our hands and it was just how we wanted:) thank you Scooter’s at Rapid City SD.❤️Great way to start our day!.☕️
