Well, we were going to stop here, after seeing a movie up the hill only to learn that at 9:40pm, they had turned off the grills. Given they're open til 11pm, if they can't be bothered making food with over an hour to go in their regular shift, maybe cut back their salary by 5 dollars a person since they don't wanna be bothered cooking like other fast-food establishments.
We stopped for breakfast after church on our way back east river. We could tell right away that they were short staffed but the two ladies were working hard! They communicated well and were friendly despite being frazzled as cars kept coming through drive through and people kept coming inside to order. Our wait was long but we were happy to be understanding. These two deserve a raise for how they handled today!
For many years my goto meal at Taco John's has been the Super Burrito and Potato Oles. That will probably change after today. The Oles were as good as ever, but the Super Burrito I had today could hardly be called Super. It seemed like it was half the size it's been in the past, with plenty of room left in the tortilla. I took it back to the counter and they confirmed that it was indeed a Super Burrito. The times they are a changing.
