“I don’t even know where to start with this place. If I were on death row and could choose a final meal, it would be from Lalibela. I’ve never eaten something there that wasn’t spectacular. The spice level is perfect, enough to warm up your lips but not too hot to overpower the perfect blend of spices. My only complaint is that I don’t live down the street from it anymore. BEST FOOD EVER!“

“Very kind service and delicious food! We are traveling from an area where we don’t have access to Ethiopian food, but are familiar with it after living in Oakland and Los Angeles. They don’t always have everything on the menu, but what they do have is great.“

“I wanted to share with you about a wonderful place called Biftu. It's a restaurant and grocery store in Sioux Falls that offers a wide variety of foods and cuisine. The owner is very friendly and welcoming. I think you would really enjoy the experience there. Let's plan a visit soon and savor some delicious meals together.“

“We had a hungry group of 8 walk in about an hour before close Friday and the experience was incredible! Friendly, welcoming, cozy, fast and - the food is something I’ll be dreaming about until the next time I dine in! Thank you for your hospitality, Hagere! 💛“

“Another Ethiopian gem in Sioux Falls. It’s pretty down home - the menu is a bit difficult to decipher. We asked for a combo of meat and veggies and the kind server said, “I’ll see what she’s cooking today.” Everything was delicious, especially the lentils (both the misir wot and kik alicha). The injera is really some of the best we’ve had - nice and sour. You either need to know what you want or be willing to go on an adventure, but the payoff is delicious!“

“This was my first time eating at Shalom and first time ever eating Ethiopian Food. Seble was so incredibly friendly, kind, inviting, and passionate! You can taste the love she has for feeding people through her food. Ethiopian food may be my new favorite cuisine all thanks to the incredible experience at Shalom!“
