We were just enjoying the Sculpture walk and stumbled upon Fernson's. It was early in the morning and we had already eaten breakfast, but you always have room for a drink, right? Well I had the Earl Grey Creme and it was just the best cup of tea I had every had and young lady from MN told us so much about the beers I ended up tasting a few. It had been several decades since I had beer at breakfast, but damn they were good. I would love to go back the next time we are through...
Beers were okay, not spectacular but adequate. We had planned to have burgers and tots since the menu lists an Impossible patty option. However, staff told us that the buns and tots are not vegan. We knew the Big Marty's bun and Martin's potato buns were not vegan before going in but had hoped with a vegan patty option they'd have a vegan bun to go with it. This was a pretty disappointing start to our Sioux Falls pub crawl.
Tried the new menu from their new chef last night. Everything had so much flavor, fresh ingredients, cooked to perfection. This is not pub food, so much more special but still approachable. Walk in wearing your comfy clothes, choose a beer or wine, and enjoy the community feel right on Phillips Avenue. We’ll be back!!
