Gilberto’s has great reviews, so I gave it a try. I ordered the chicken fajita burrito with extra guac. The burrito was huge—much bigger than what I usually get in Dallas—and the fajitas were cooked well. Flavor was a bit on the bland side and I wish there was more guacamole, but overall it was decent. The place was very clean and well kept.

I was passing through Sioux Falls on a road trip, and stopped to just get some quick food. Me and my girlfriend got our food super quick, and the lady working the front of house was super sweet and attentive.
I'm only docking a star because I think the whole building could use a *deep* cleaning. The bathrooms were pretty filthy, nothing too bad though.
Overall definitely worth eating here! 😁😁

The food was very good!! We got the rolled tacos and also a torta doordashed. Delicious and packed nicely for delivery. Definitely recommend the Tres Leches cake! Extensive menu. If you want it, they prpbably have it!

Food is amazing. Service is best at night, but at night is when hooligans are usually running a muck, fighting or yelling or having a meet up there. Night shift can run through orders with precision and speed, unlike day shift which forgets alot of stuff even when business is slow. Today what prompt me to write this is today is the third time the same lady has forgotten I even needed to pay for the food. Who knows how much product is technically missing without receipts of pay. All around great place to eat though and never once had genuine frustration towards the crew or their food. Just small mistakes anyone else could make. (Except for day shift)

I wanted camerones a la cream, they have it with chicken, so should be an easy substitute. Every other mexican restaurant offers it. They refused. Its literally just a protein sub..kinda stupid if you ask me. Oh well. Antigua taco house offers both (because its easy, you just do shrimp instead of chicken) and the food is wayyy better there. Will just have to wait til tomorrow when they're open! Edit: just called the other locations and they would do it. Obviously its an upcharge because its shrimp I get that. I think this location was just being difficult for no reason! Noticed they don't react to or consider reviews anyways.

I got the chicken burrito. The chicken tasted old and the tortilla was so hard I couldn’t chew it. Beans and rice had NO flavor. Disappointing to say the least
It seems like this store in particular are oportunists. Charged me 29.43 for 3 tacos and chips and queso with a drink. Some how adding a 6$ charge. I called to ask why it took the amount and they denied it. Watch your purchases there. They are thiefs.

Texan here with a love of great mexican food which I've had a difficult time of finding since moving to the Midwest 4 years ago. Gilbertos was just what this girl needed. Finally amazing mexican food and a menu of items that did not disappoint. They have a salsa bar with several tasty selections and offer several dessert options. We had the tres Leche and must say it was by far the best I have ever had.

I’ve ordered from this place a few times both in store and through DoorDash delivery and more often than not I get crunchy rice and greasy food. Their taco surprised me being really good, but ordering anything with chorizo. They leave it very greasy and usually gives me pretty bad heartburn and diarrhea. Wish I didn’t have to leave such a bad review, but after so many times of being burned from this place I’m kind of getting sick of it and thought I would share my experience with others.
