“This is the 25th anniversary of Sioux Falls’, first Japanese restaurant. It’s the only authentic Japanese restaurant in town, owned by Japanese people. For the life of me, I can’t understand why someone would go to a Japanese restaurant owned by Chinese or Thai. Would you go to an Italian restaurant owned by Egyptians?
Compared to my home state of Florida, this place is super inexpensive. The fish is actual sushi grade, flown in from Miami. I’ve only been to this restaurant twice, in these many years, but it’s a gem. I wish it was in my town.“

“This place is amazing! The service was so good and we got the food very quick. The food was spectacular and all perfectly cooked and put together. There were also so many amazing options on the menu. The building also has an amazing and aesthetic atmosphere with nice decor and tables with nice and comfortable seating. I rate this a 10/10 and I definitely recommend coming here!“

“It was a nice surprise to find good sushi at a shopping mall. Price was reasonable. Food was fresh and they make it right in front of you. I got the 2 roll special that came with a fountain drink for around $12 or $13. I chose the California Roll and Fried Shrimp Roll. Definitely one of the tastier places to eat at the Empire Mall.“

“The food is absolutely amazing. I can only attest to the Japanese side of dishes as that is mainly what I've ordered from here. The ramen is delicious, and the broth tastes authentic. The Donburi dishes are also top tier. The chicken cutlets are full of meat and not like some other places where there is more breading than there is chicken. The staff is friendly and very responsive.“
