I don’t even know where to start with this place. If I were on death row and could choose a final meal, it would be from Lalibela. I’ve never eaten something there that wasn’t spectacular. The spice level is perfect, enough to warm up your lips but not too hot to overpower the perfect blend of spices. My only complaint is that I don’t live down the street from it anymore. BEST FOOD EVER!
We stopped in to pick up sambusas for the road. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. The owner greeted us and we had a nice chat with him. The sambusas (we chose beef and chicken) were delicious.
First time there and I was impressed with the cuisine. I have never tried Ethiopian food before and enjoyed the experience. The atmosphere was welcoming and choices explained well. I will be back again.
