Lao Szechuan Hot Pot Buffet, as the only Chinese Sichuan restaurant in the Sioux Falls area, offers a uniquely authentic Sichuan dining experience. Lao Szechuan Hot Pot is delicious but pricey. We always get the spicy and miso broth, which never disappoints. While they no longer offer all-you-can-eat sushi, the fridge is stocked with fresh ingredients like raw steak, lamb, menudo, mushrooms, tofu, and greens. You put all the ingredients on a plate, and then pour those ingredients into the soup. The soup cooks in minutes!!! So fast.

I have enjoyed the hotpot at Lao Szechuan numerous times, and it seems to get progressively better with each visit. I am particularly fond of the spicy broths and the unique flavor of Sichuan pepper. I have yet to explore their regular menu, cocktails, or fruit and milk teas, but for the only hotpot in Sioux Falls, it’s a great representation at an affordable price.
