I’ve been going to pickle barrel for about 15 years. It has had new owners a couple time i believe. The sandwiches are always wonderful. I’m picky when it comes to Mayo and like my sandwich done with a couple extras. They never make a fuss and it’s always been correctly made. New owner could talk to his staff a little kinder but I also know being a boss come with tough love. PB is one of my favorite places to eat. Highly recommend the Ken special or if you like tangy pulled pork, it’s also a must.

They have great food but there have been several times that me and my co-workers, who have an early lunch, show up at 11:00 and there is no soup ready. If you are open at 11:00, then you need to have everything prepared and ready to serve at 11:00 without expecting customers to wait another 10-15 minutes to get an order.

Wow, what a great experience. Thier sandwiches are huge and filled to the brim with tasty fresh meats. They offer an assortment of sides chips desserts. The soup is on point. The pickles are excellent. What a great team of people making quality sandwiches. The bobcat special is my favorite, the cheese steak is unique.

I first experienced Pickle Barrel back in 2006, but moved away in 2007. I moved back to the area in 2017 and had forgotten about this gem. I just reexperienced Pickle Barrel fir the first time again... Amazing what have I been missing for 16 years!

A favorite here in town for sub sandwiches for sure. A big disappointment is the pickle you can get. Used to get a full pickle, and now they are quartered into spears and for sure not the same quality or crunch you used to get; however, the sandwich itself is still pretty good!

The food there is awesome. When I am looking for a good lunch soup and sandwich that's where I go. I am not from Sioux Falls. But would have to say the manager there today was very how to say rude and should not work with people. I will go back but if he's working I will get it to go.

First time. Horrible experience. 2 of 3 sandwiches wrong. Turkey extremely wet and soaked the bread. For the cost, taste and experience i won't be back. Plus staff were rude. Very disappointing.
Pricey ....but absolutely quality and quantity. An awesome sandwich to be sure.

I haven’t been to the Pickle Barrel since before COVID. Stopped by for lunch today, glad I did. The place is still a great easy lunch option. Great sandwich, soup and friendly service. Def will be back again.

Seemed to want me to tip for them to work... I looked on Grub Hub, and I thought the subs were in the $8 range... got to the store, and the prices are in the $11 range... The prices aren't even listed on their signs. I tipped $1, but apparently that wasn't enough because my cheesesteak seemed kind of empty... not impressed with what I thought was going to be a large quantity of food. Not sure if the it's the economic environment, but I don't have the money to suddenly pay $5 more than I thought it would cost with the sub and a $2 tip when I was expecting to spend $8-$9 for a big sub. The sub was decent, but I'm not impressed with the quantity of food (not nearly as big or cheesy as it looks on the website). I probably won't be back.
