A bit expensive, we ordered picanha with onions and there was just pretty much onions and almost no meat.

It's a fun atmosphere and delicious food every time! I've tried salmon and pork belly risotto, the chicken sandwich, thr pork belly tacos, and several different appetizers. It is such a unique building and a great place to dine.

Best culinary experience in Sioux Falls! Roots of Brasil will take you on an adventure the second you walk through the doors. First, the smell of amazing food hits you!! Along with a really cool ambiance of Brazilian decor and music. Just to be greeted immediately with smiles from the hosts, bartenders, servers and even customers! The menu says it all with a selection that will have you changing your mind a few times before ordering because the descriptions of the food will have your mouth watering with each item. It's all amazing! And the menu will even teach you a little Portuguese which is fun for the table. The appetizers and drink selection will surprise you! I know you'll have your favorites (mojitos, margaritas, wines etc.) but I recommend talking to your server about some of the drinks on the menu that you may have never tried. I do this ALL the time and have never been disappointed. Trust. And then there's the FOOD! If you have never tried Brazilian cuisine you are so lucky and in for a treat. You honestly cannot go wrong with anything on the menu. From Curry to Veggies to Risotto to Tacos to Grits to Caribbean Chicken to Seafood to Pizza to Burgers they have it ALL. You can mix and add proteins like PICANHA, chicken, salmon, snapper, shrimp and of course pork belly!! Everything is full of flavor and the Chef is THEE MAN! He does incredible with the plating of each dish. You'll eat with your eyes first and one bite will take you South of the border. And don't get me started with the desserts. They are homemade and will make you tell mom you love her! For real. Not to mention, the business is family owned and operated. A wonderful family that lives in Sioux Falls. And of course this restaurant is authentic, because of their family Roots of Brasil. Come hungry and enjoy!!

Great spot for a date or friends dinner!! Courtney the hostess was so warm when we walked in, asked if we’d been in, and what our seating preferences are before taking us to a really cute booth upstairs. Becca was our server and gave great info on the churrasco - which was amazing, the jerk chicken was the easy stand out and please ask for the house sauce with the yucca fries, both are incredible. We split Mariscos as an app and it had fantastic earthy heat. Drinks were great. Overall atmosphere was very cool - if you don’t sit upstairs at least check out the hand painted steps for a photo op before you leave!

The whole meal was a five-star experience. I loved the ambiance and exposed brick as we entered the building, and the waitstaff was cheerful and prompt. We started with the most refreshing drinks and mocktails. Moving on to the food, we found it to be a scrumptious variety of flavors. We shared the steak stroganoff and blackened salmon with risotto. The stroganoff was savory and delicious, but the salmon was exemplary and definitely our favorite. I highly recommend this place. Do yourself a favor and try it out.Oh, and they also have amazing desserts! We had a Dulce de Leche cheesecake that was mouthwatering.

Maybe my first mistake was going alone, but I was on business travel and thought I'd try it because of the good reviews. I got sat in a corner away from everything and everyone else. Just because I'm dining alone, it doesn't mean I want to be sat in a lonely corner downstairs. Unfortunately the food did not impress either. The rice was very undercooked and crunchy and starchy and ruined what otherwise could have been a good meal. Myabe I went on a bad night, but being my first time there I would not return.
