Monk’s Ale House Reviews
We stopped for the first time at Monk's Ale House 8/4 and if we were in Sioux Falls longer we would have gone back again. The service was excellent (can't remember his name...Kros Strain shirt that day) but he was so helpful. Knew a lot about the beer on tap and made great recommendations. We didn't eat so I can't review the food. From the looks of the inside it would be a fun place to be on a busy weekend. Lots of room and so many neat wall signs. Was perfect, cept they didnt have a beer wall. No but seriously great beer selection and the beer I had was great, nice clean atmosphere and an enjoyable experience for 6 people, like it was good 3 years ago and its even better now. Patrick's stamp of approval
After an insanely hot trip back from Rapid City (car a/c failed around Murdo) we stumbled upon Monk’s and much to our pleasure they are WAY BEYOND DOG FRIENDLY! The food was amazing! Great selection on tap and our tap tender/server was above and beyond with our canine friends! Definitely will make a point of stopping again!

Monk's Ale House offers a great ambiance with a cool, inviting vibe, making it a popular spot for gatherings. The bar features an impressive selection of 50 beers on tap, along with a variety of wines and food options. The servers are friendly and attentive, contributing to a nice change of pace. The restaurant has a range of seating choices, including comfortable couches, bar stools, and booths. The music adds to the overall enjoyable atmosphere, which feels like a downtown, urban bar without being just another bar. The Chicken Bacon Ranch dish has received high praise, and other menu highlights include the spinach & artichoke dip and the Althea pizza. The extensive craft beer and cider list makes it a beer geek's paradise. The place is also dog friendly, both inside and on the patio, making it a chill spot for everyone.
