13 Best Sushi Bars in Sioux Falls

“Stopped in at Taichi Bubble Tea, Ramen and Poke Bowl in Sioux Falls and had the shoyu ramen with beef. The broth had a nice balance of savory and rich flavors without being too salty. The beef slices were tender and paired really well with the noodles. Loved the toppings too - the egg (cooked perfectly and marinated in soy) was spot on and the fresh scallions and bean sprouts added great texture. Portion size was generous and the bowl came out nice and hot. Overall, a really satisfying meal and I’ll definitely be back to try their poke.“

“Holy crap....I was literally in and out of that restaurant in 20 minutes!! They were so fricken fast!! I sat down and just ordered right away cause I knew what I wanted, got my water, salad, and soup and by the time I took the wrapping off my chop sticks and took two bites of my salad, they were already giving me my 3 rolls!! They weren't busy when I arrived but started getting busy for the lunch hour so I felt bad I was taking up a 4 person booth. Therefore, I didnt waste any time eating but holy crap!!! They were on it! I was very impressed! The food was great but the service alone I'd give 10 stars!“

“It was a nice surprise to find good sushi at a shopping mall. Price was reasonable. Food was fresh and they make it right in front of you. I got the 2 roll special that came with a fountain drink for around $12 or $13. I chose the California Roll and Fried Shrimp Roll. Definitely one of the tastier places to eat at the Empire Mall.“

“We are visiting from Hawaii and was looking for a place that served rice. We found this place and decided to take a chance. We ordered a cali roll and a shrimp tempura roll for the kids and then a chicken hibachi plate and japanese fried rice. The food was good and the yummy sauce added the extra flavor I didn't know it needed. The only thing though that we didn't care for was the chicken was overcooked and dry.“

“This is the 25th anniversary of Sioux Falls’, first Japanese restaurant. It’s the only authentic Japanese restaurant in town, owned by Japanese people. For the life of me, I can’t understand why someone would go to a Japanese restaurant owned by Chinese or Thai. Would you go to an Italian restaurant owned by Egyptians?
Compared to my home state of Florida, this place is super inexpensive. The fish is actual sushi grade, flown in from Miami. I’ve only been to this restaurant twice, in these many years, but it’s a gem. I wish it was in my town.“

“Excellent food and service!“

“Our server was incredibly sweet and helpful. Our drinks were great but we did have a couple hiccups with our food. There were five of us and four of us were given our correct food. The fifth was originally brought the mushroom risotto when she had ordered the flatbread. (I had ordered the risotto and that'll come up in a moment too.) Our server went to making to mistake right straight away. She came back a few minutes later letting my grandmother know that the kitchen burned the new flatbread and it'd be a few more minutes. She also brought her truffle fries on the house. The flatbread came out. It was delicious and comped. Mistakes happen and we're a family that have all been servers at some point so this didn't put a damper on our evening. In fact, how our server handled it was fantastic. The other three members of our party throughly enjoyed their food. I however, took a bite of my undercooked risotto and pulled about a four inch long hair out of my mouth. I even got a box so I wouldn't have to explain why I had so much left. I didn't tell our server because I didn't want to bring another issue to her. I'm super midwestern I guess. That's on me for not saying anything, I'm sure she would've addressed that as well. We had amazing desserts before heading out. All in all, it was a great time and we'll keep coming back.“

“Best sushi in all of Sioux falls. Wife and I have been searching for a year and finally found it! I come here constantly because attitudes from the workers are great and they treat you with kindness and respect when you walk in the door. I recommend this place to anyone. And if you've had one bad experience, don't let that ruin it for you forever. this place is worth another shot!

“Definitely a hidden gem of souix falls . We were nervous to try hot pot with our daughter (very picky 7 year old ) . They allowed her to order from the regular menu even though we were in the hot pot serving room . She said ‘give them 20 million stars ‘ for the sesame chicken 😂. The hot pot options were all delicious and lots of choices for such a small restaurant . We will definitely be going again in the future!“
