Freddie made me the best steak taco I have had there yet!!! I absolutely love this place but tonight was amazing!! He absolutely nailed all of the portions on everything!! Normally you go somewhere to eat and it’s too much this and not enough of that but he absolutely nailed my taco tonight!! So good!! Well done Freddie!!!????
Barbacoa’s is the best burrito place around. The ingredients are fresh and flavorful and the sauces are unique. The “Chuck” sauce is my favorite hot sauce(get it on the side so you can get the full flavor of it)! The owner Nick is great at coming up with a wide variety on his menus and whenever I am going out to eat in Spearfish I go back and forth between Barbacoas and Killians.

Unfortunately, I’ve reduced frequency of my visits because the food and service just aren’t what they used to be. Tonight for example (at 6pm) they were out of white rice, brown rice, barbacoa beef, steak, and feta cheese. I don’t know how you run out of rice at a burrito shop. It might be because most of the staff is under 18. Then, often the wrap of the burrito is loose, making a drippy mess.
