Quán Ngon Restaurant - North

Easily best Viet food in Regina. Used to think downtown location was, but the north location has them beat. Vermicelli combos best ever. Incredibly fresh, attention to small details like fresh mint and roasted peanuts. Pork crispy rolls also great. Really good portions and prices are reasonable.

I have been to Quan Ngon’s Victoria Ave location several times, but this time I stopped in at their new north location on Rochdale.

The new restaurant is quaint, clean, and decorated well. It has a cozy, simple vibe and even though it wasn’t very busy when we went, it was still welcoming.

I usually order the spicy seafood pho at level 3 spicy because that broth is truly to die for, but this time I switched it up and ordered the D4: Grilled Lemongrass Chicken Spring Roll Vermicelli for |$15.95|.

This dish came with vermicelli noodles, grilled lemongrass chicken, fresh vegetables, herbs, and crispy spring roll pieces. It was light, fresh, and filling without being too heavy. The lemongrass chicken had that grilled flavour that makes vermicelli bowls so good, and the spring rolls added the perfect crispy bite.

I also ordered extra spring rolls because I LOVE Quan Ngon’s spring rolls. They are thin, long, crispy and delicious. I recieved a fish sauce for dipping, and it too was good, but it was not quite the sauce I am used to from the Victoria Ave location.

And of course I had the fresh rolls, and they were good, light, fresh, and a nice balance to the crispy spring rolls. But the peanut sauce? Out of this world. Thick, rich, savoury, slightly sweet, and absolutely the star of that dish.

Service was good. It wasn’t overly busy, and the server kept themselves busy stacking cups and cleaning up while we ate, which I always notice and appreciate.

I will absolutely go back, although next time, I may have to return to my spicy seafood pho because that broth still has my heart.

My boss and I were not feeling well we came here for a bowl of soup and left feeling amazing and like we ate a whole buffet it was very delicious and reasonably affordable.

tiara really lives up to her name—she’s such a gem ❤ a real angel!! everytime i come with my sister she is so excited to see us and makes us feel so welcome. she’s such a friendly and familiar face to us and she never fails to make our experience amazing. i hope she knows we recognize her just as much as she recognizes us ❤

I have had the B11 probably 50+ times at the downtown location, so I am very familiar with what to expect. When this location opened closer to me I was excited, however in the two visits I made, both times the broth was lukewarm. The first time I gave it a pass, but the second time just made me annoyed. The broth which is amazing, should be piping hot when it arrives from the kitchen. Please take this feedback and find a way to correct it, this is pretty basic stuff, until then I will make the drive downtown.

Food was amazing I ordered the beef soup It was amazing it didn’t taste plain it had sooo much flavour I love it also had the honey boba tea the flavour blueberry has to be the best I’ve had in Regina so far and me and my girlfriend get lots of boba how you ordered everything throw me off guard but I like it you didn’t have to talk you just write it down more places should do it I’m definitely coming back and everything was sooo big loved it thank you

The Rochdale location has the best lemongrass chicken vermicelli in the city! The chicken is cooked perfectly and the vegetables are always so fresh! The best place for Vietnamese in the city!!

The fermented fish soup and veggie fresh rolls were both absolutely excellent! I'm looking forward to trying the banh mi next time. Also I am so happy that they have durian bubble tea!

I thought they still keep the menu from Hem restaurant after seeing pictures from google… rice and chicken were too dried and old… terrible… I don’t know what is the definition of “delicious” means… not recommended

The lady I spoke to on the phone was very friendly and patient. Good customer service upon pick up as well.

I ordered D1 - Vegetarian Vermacelli Bowl and B8 - Hot & Sour Seafood Soup tonight and it was all very delicious.

For the soups you specify level of spice between 1-5. If you are unsure about spice level, I recommend starting with 1 or 2 and ordering some chili oil on the side to gauge. Keep in mind it is an additional $1.95, but worth it for me because I have extra. Plus it's allways easier to add more spice than take it away.

The fish sauce and chili oil seem home made. The fish sauce and spring rolls are unique to other Vietnamese restaurants, and I've been to most. It was a very nice and presentable meal, I was pleased with both items.

Downside is I had to reheat the soup before eating it, it was warm but not hot. And I like it piping hot. I also expected more quantity for noodles, but I still stand by my 5 star review despite these two items based on flavor and quality ☺️

Best place in Regina for pho and vermacelli bowls! 🩷

Will definitely be back and I'm happy there is now a North end location too!

Surprised this changed names in such a short time but the food was as good if not better than when it was Hem Street Food. The meal I had was fresh with a light refreshing taste and fresh mint overtones.
