Update 11/16/2025 - the girl behind the counter was running solo (till, takeout orders, prep, and cooking) and still maintained greeting everyone when they popped in - excellent job keeping calm and getting through the rush. Well done.

Hi there,

I visited your OPA recently around lunch time (11/11/25) and ordered a chicken souvlaki pita. While eating, I found a small chicken bone in the end piece that stabbed my mouth. I had thought it was maybe a bit of the skewer at first, but then found out I was wrong. I went back in to let the staff at the counter know, but the response I received felt very dismissive and unkind. I was told I was eating chicken and bones are to be expected. But from what I know, souvalaki is made from boneless chicken. Do I have to be on the lookout for bones in my pita wraps in the future?

I wasn’t trying to make a scene — I just wanted to let someone know in case it was a food safety issue. I really enjoy your food, but I wanted to bring this to your attention so it can be handled respectfully in the future.

Food is not good

I was impressed how employees remember you and your order perfectly, even in busy hours. Today, in the morning around 11am I visit there with my girl. There was only one staff working that's why we have to wait for few minutes in the line. When we reach at the counter, she greeted us with hi there. Immediately after asking how are you ma'am? She tapped our order, before I would say. She clearly remember that my daughter wants her chicken on the side and just tomato, onions, and taziki in the wrap. My daughter was like how she knows? Then the girl smiles and handed us our fountain cups. I was watching her how she was making 4-5 orders at one time. Mainly, the thing that catches my eye, there was a customer in front of us, an old lady. Instead of calling her on the counter she come out to give her order and respectfully ask enjoy your meal ma'am. The store was clean, very good fragrance of fresheners in the bathroom. The food was really yummy and warm. I'm writing this review just to let her know that she really did a great job. Thank you for making our food delicious.

I was really impressed during my visit. I was with my family members and was greeted with Hi there, How are you. There was only one girl working, and She was taking orders, preparing food, and serving to customers with a soft smile and also she apologized for a short wait. The opa food is great and fresh because they cook everything in front of you. However, we can compare the quantity of food with other Opa's but they don't have good taste. Truly excellent management- that girl who was managing a line up of customers- she really deserves appreciation and credit for her hard work.

If I could give zero stars, I would.
I had a very poor experience at this Opa location. The portion of fries was much smaller than at other Opa restaurants. I also waited for a long time, and I clearly saw the staff take fries out of my basket to fill another order. This location needs better training and consistency.

I recently visited the Opa of Greece near Grassland in Regina, and sadly, it was a pretty frustrating experience. I ordered falafel and fries, but the portion I got was basically half of what it should have been. Worse, I actually saw the staff member remove some of my fries and put them on another plate when she thought I wasn’t looking. When I mentioned it, she gave me a really off-putting, almost rude look that felt kind of discriminatory. She did top up the fries a little, but still not to a full portion. Overall, it left a really bad impression, and I don’t think I’ll be returning to this Opa again.

Actually I had 50% off offer in my opa app. However, I don't know about how to use that. So, I went into the store, the girl came and say how are you ma'am. Then I showed that offer to her, she said this is only valid for online orders. After that she guided me how to place an online order and use the offer code. Thank you to that girl. The staff in opa is very friendly, and the store is fully neat and clean. Their wraps taste soooo good and fresh.

I wish I could give zero stars. I went in to buy a Coke, and the cashier — I believe her name was Gurveer — was whistling while handing it to me and showed extremely unprofessional and disrespectful behavior. Very disappointing experience.

They were very busy today as expected it was lunch time but they didn't get my order started and I had to get back to work. I asked for a refund so the cook was a bit surprised I wanted my money back. She eventually gives me $15.25 the cost of the calamari and salad. She didn't include the extra sauce and taxes. I told her I wanted my money I paid. She grabs the tip or donation box and gives me another 35 cents and I told her I wasn't tipping her for nothing. So she grabs a twoonie and throws it at me in front of other customers and doesn't apologize at all. I called into regional manager who was empathetic about this terrible service. I am thankful for the quick response and apology. The Grasslands area already has a bad reputation because of its residents but now it's the employees at the businesses located there that make it a terrible experience.

1 person in front of us. Takes our order and 4 others. 2 people after us got their order before ours, nothing about ours was complicated, so why? Then took fries outa my takeout tray to top up another order for person that was after us. Tzatziki was watery and not full to top of container. Plus, 1 person working lunch hour with multiple people waiting? Come in.
Won't be back
