Sling Shot Charlie's Reviews
I've never had a bad experience with food or service at this establishment. This is how restaurants should be. 5 out of 5 stars. You guys might be tired and frustrated by the work and lack of help sometimes, but please realize we do see the effort being put in. I had your mushroom Swiss burger today with onion rings and sweet potato. It was worth the drive out there from Cordova!
Been wanting to try this place for awhile & was not disappointed! Candy is an awesome waitress, we were seated & served quickly, food was piping hot & delishhhhh!!! I loved the catfish filets, sweet potato, and fried green tomatoes were nice & thick, great taste. Ranch was good also, not sure if that’s house made or not. Fiancé had chicken tenders, mashed potatoes, & fries and he loved them all. Sweet tea great also. Will definitely be back!
Had a small birthday lunch for my adult daughter. The staff was very attentive, and even sang happy birthday to her!! The food was excellent!!

Sling Shot Charlie's serves up authentic, home-style Southern cooking that brings back sweet memories. The restaurant's turnip greens are a highlight, reminiscent of homemade vegetables from the Deep South. With a family atmosphere and top-notch service, it's worth a 45-minute drive. The menu offers plenty of options for those with dietary restrictions, including burgers, meatloaf, and wings with a light batter that stays crunchy. Portions are huge, prices are fair, and the chocolate chess pie is like a warm gooey brownie. Recent reviews highlight delicious dishes like catfish filets, sweet potatoes, and fried green tomatoes, praised for their great taste and thickness. Sweet tea and ranch dressing also receive positive mentions. The wheelchair-accessible, one-story building provides a relaxing, homey feel. While the exterior may not impress, the outstanding food, divine seasoning, and exceptional service make it a must-visit in the Memphis area. The cooks are GREAT, and the atmosphere is fun with lots to look at, making it a place where families can create lasting memories.
