“Have you ever been to a Huddle House? It’s like a Waffle House had a child with an IHop. The food offerings are many and varied. But I almost never try anything else, I just love their chicken fried steak breakfast too much!
I’ve been to several HH restaurants across Tennessee but this one in Baxter, TN has always been my favorite. They are very friendly and the service is always fast and the food fantastic!“

“I stopped in for lunch on the way home from a hard rock festival on Aug. 27. The bartender was very welcoming & kind, answering all 5280 of my questions about the town. (I’m thinking of eventual relocation.) Every single one of the patrons were friendly as well; I could tell this was the kind of place that hooks a person on one visit!! The Hot Honey Wings were quite possibly the best I’ve had—in the words of S.Hagar, “hot, sweet, & sticky”….and lunch priced (woo hoo!!) And for dessert….well, whoever thought of peanut butter flavored tequila & rum chata all in one glass deserves the Nobel Peace Prize!! I stayed waaaay longer than I intended—because, well, WORTH IT!! Visit this place immediately, if not sooner!!“

“Only got Plantains and 1 advocodoe there. I've gone around 6xs for plantains and they have the best & biggest ones I've ever seen! And the price was good. So far I like this place & hope to eat there as well! O yea bought some meat there! It was ok kinda expensive and was alot smaller then I thought I'd get. But I guess the taste wasn't to bad.“

“I took my family here Saturday to celebrate Father's Day. Our food was perfect, our service was perfect, the price was perfect, and the atmosphere was perfect. We did not have one complaint. We will definitely be back.“

“My husband and I ate here last night for the first time and I have to say it exceeded my expectations. From the moment we stepped in the door this place and the staff didn't disappoint. Our waitress was wonderful and very attentive. The food was delicious, portions were good, I had the moose and my husband had the nine iron. We also had the pretzel and it was delicious, loved the beer cheese! I also recommend the pumpkin spice martini, it was a nice fall drink. We will definitely go back here soon!“

“We love eating here and it is always delicious, no matter what we get. Our last server, Gracie, was excellent, helpful and friendly. The manager came out to speak with us and she was great also. However, we wish something could be changed. We LOVE the seafood boil, however my wife could not get a substitution. She loves snow crab, but not lobster or shrimp. They could not substitute for the crab instead of lobster/shrimp. If that could change, we would eat here every week. I LOVED my shrimp boil. Please consider allowing substitutions.“

“We visited this location today and witnessed true kindness in action by someone I assume was the manager and her staff. A pair of disabled older women came in and the manager had them sit and she came to them to get their orders (you order at the counter) she took the order, got their money and change then got their drinks (also self service) and then she and the staff got their food and anything else they needed. It was so nice to see there are still good folks in this world. Neither the manager nor the staff acted as if anything was an imposition and treated these two ladies with such kindness and care.“

“I had to go here just because of the name and it was local place that I was happy to patronize. The food was pretty good although I have had better sirloin. The au jus sauce was excellent though. The staff was very nice and checked in often. I do recommend visiting this restaurant as I think they had many items on the menu that sounded really good. I do recommend if you are travelling through Cookeville to give this place a try
Parking: Parking is just for customers no student parking as it's close to university.“

“Walked in hostess was just telling people to sit where they want that the bar was open, seemed kinda lazy instead of walking us to a table. We had returned to eat the Cheesesticks which we love the Nashville Hot and the Chipotle flavor. Fresh food, waiter checked in many times and got us everything we needed.“

“A solid, consistent place to eat for years. As quick as any fast food place, but way healthier food and around the same price. The food has been always the same...excellent. We eat here more than any place in town. It could use a remodel...one day. Don't like the dreary can't-see-out windows.

In the top 10% of chain restaurant experiences. If not THE best.
The food was absolutely stellar. The roasted brussel sprouts were the best I've ever had anywhere. Salmon and baked sweet potato were also both perfectly prepared, seasoned, and presented. Portions were very generous. I felt guilty leaving any of it on the plate!
Tea was fresh. (Needed a bit more ice)
Service was perfect and the environment was very comfortable.
My only criticism is that the silverware is too large and awkward to use, but this is a common issue in american chain restaurants.“

“Ben is the most amazing owner. We called on New Years Day to see if they would be opened. Since our grandson from Florida wanted to go to CiCi's pizza. He treated us like family more than customers and it was our first time being there. Will definitely be back. Thank you Ben.“
