Boonies Restaurant and Pizzeria

Really good comfort food and price is cheap.

Man.... this place is something else. You can get one of the best burgers you've ever eaten and watch the lake while eating it. The pizza is fantastic, the service is quick, and with a smile. All around, a wonderful little spot.

WOW! Back in the BOONIES, but VANNtastic!!

Every time we visit Boonies the food is excellent, as is the service. Even the cooks ask how the food was. We'll be back again and again. We love boating to Boonies in the summer.

it's very very good you actually get full fast service and they are very friendly and nice you don't get that everywhere you go

Boonies to me is like a home away from home. I feel like their family. They take very good care of their customers and their employees. Looking for a good place to eat? This is the place to go.

First time here my wife and I had a awesome hamburger and great service too.

We live just up the street and thought we'd give the pizza a try. Got 2 pepperoni pizzas for $36 for take out. They were ok, but little Caesars Hot n Ready's are better for a 1/3 of the price. I've never had a pizza that thin before. We gave it a shot.

The I wanna was very rude and very unprofessional, we had a family of 12, we was eating there 3 times a week and we will never be back, she had a nasty attitude, advise anyone that wanted to go there not to.

I and my family have been eating here for some time, averaging around 6-8 times per month. The service has always been great until....... Last night my family had been out all day assisting with the flood recovery efforts. We were all tired and didn't feel like cooking, so we decided to go to our favorite local restaurant Boonies. It started out well with our drink order and then the owner Amy ( who I had never met before) came to take our food order. We had a party of 10 with half being our children sitting right beside us. She takes the order of the adult table, and then walks away. My wife attempted to get her attention by simply saying ma'am ( I will admit it was a bit louder than normal conversation, but was in no way shape or form angry). Anyway, Amy then turns to my wife and says " I'm talking to these customers, give me a minute!" Now this statement was angry. After she finishes talking she comes back to our table and my wife says " you didn't take our children's order" to which Amy replied "correct". She then turns around and walks back inside and turns our order in to the cook ( without our children's order on the ticket). We are dumbfounded at this point but then look inside the restaurant to see her going to another table to take their order. Keep in mind there are 3 tables to serve inside and 3 tables to serve outside so it's not like they were swamped. At this point we decided to just go pay for our drinks and leave. We stand up and walk to the cash register to pay and she says "are you all leaving?" and we said yes. She then rips the receipt off the grill crumbles it up and throws it on the ground and says "have a nice day" very snarky like. My wife then requests her name and to our surprise she responds "I am Amy THE OWNER" . My wife then said " oh wow, ok this treatment is very unprofessional" to which Amy responded (of course she was the victim in all of this and I'm sure will be the victim when she responds to this review) "can't you see I'm the only server?" My wife says yes, and I've done this job and it's not that busy. I might add that I met my wife when she was a waitress, and she ran an entire 20 table restaurant by herself and bossed it, so yea it wasn't busy at all. Anyway my cousin that was with us said well I guess we won't be coming back here and my wife said yes you have made a mistake. We are very loyal customers here, to which victim Owner Amy replied " no you have made a mistake " I mean literally like a child would respond. The point is we were very disrespected from the start, the owner was very very very angry, mean, and unprofessional. She should probably take some courses on how to treat customers, and possibly some anger management classes. Sorry Boonies you were great while it lasted but we will sadly never be back!!

If I could give negative stars I would. I have never been disrespected so bad in my life...by Amy the owner!!! This is devastating as my family has been loyal customers, visiting frequently. I am honestly still stunned as I have never seen such a level of unprofessionalism.
