55 South is a quaint little eatery with a nice outdoor patio and a relaxed atmosphere country kitchen. The staff is friendly, attentive, and super nice, with a manager who genuinely takes great care of every guest. Customer experience is a top priority here. The food is absolutely incredible, fresh, and flavorful, great for comfort food. The menu has a great selection of sandwiches, salads, quesadillas, and more. Specific meals mentioned include the parmesan crab fries, shrimp and grits, Gumbo, Famous Fried chicken, brisket tacos with pablano rice and a side of cheese grits, Nashville hot chicken, Catfish, Jambalaya, and po boys. The grilled cauliflower was truly exceptional as a side. Prices are very reasonable. The feeling of being there feels like home. A highly recommended spot for American faire.
