We decided after our tasting that we wanted to try her caramel cake and she even made us like 9 cupcakes to try, which she definitely did not have to do!! “I had heard good things about this bakery in Brentwood so when I was preparing to throw my baby sister a surprise party for her 50th birthday, I reached out to them to inquire about a custom cake. They were prompt with their responses and very helpful in placing my order. I dropped off ribbon and flowers to add to the cake and they did such a beautiful job. I was ecstatic with how the finished product turned out. My reason for not giving 5 stars is I wished they would have explained the importance of refrigerating the cake. It had started to melt/sink before the event which was really disappointing. They put a sticker on the back of the box with instructions but I never looked at the back. I would recommend to the store owner that they place the sticker on the front of the box for us newbie customers. Other than that, the cake was great! Beautiful and delicious! And now YOU also know the importance of refrigeration.“
“This place is just fun! Nostalgic bakery with wonderful desserts showcased behind glass counters that bring out the child in all of us! The staff scurrying around and shouting out orders behind the counters adds a touch of excitement and expectation. The dining room is a hub of activity if you can find a seat at peak times. Generations of people have been coming here and catching up while enjoying their perennial favorites of the extensive menu. Where else can you see your dessert before you order it and you get to choose just the right one! The Boston cream cake is sublime! Another little hint is if you get the cherry or blueberry danish which we found a little underdone was to reheat in the oven and is was one of the best tasting we had ever had.“
