Simply put, one of the best meals I've enjoyed in a long time. The food, service and beautiful interior with awesome views were all first rate! We had the Sea Scallops with Pasta and Asparagus was incredible! And the prices were very reasonable. I can't wait to visit Chattanooga again and dine at the Back Inn Cafe.

Checked this place out because we were going to Tony's. Got a double C&C and they charged me $30.....‍‍‍I was not impressed... It was amateur hour at the bar, didn't stay for dinner...

What a great place for dinner! The architecture and the craftsmanship of the building adds to the comfortable setting. Excellent place to take the woman that keeps you smiling for a romantic evening with some of the best views of the Tennessee River.

Great view. Steaks were fantastic.

Our experience was great and while I did not complain, and am not doing so now, the only thing that stoped my experience from being GREAT was that my steak was mostly lacking in flavor. Oh well, the Bourbon and wine was terrific. The service was just right and the ambiance was perfect.

The food was fantastic. had a several course meal and every course was really good. The wine pairings were perfect. Service was good not great. Will definitely go back.

Overall very good. The cheese plate had only 2 types of cheese and not much of it. Mostly toasted bread, olives and fruit. Kind of disappointed in that based on the name “cheese plate”. And the bread they served before the main course was extremely salty and we couldn't eat it. Steak was amazing and service was very good. Great atmosphere.

Great service. Waitress Kristen was excellent. The porterhouse pork chop was tough and not very flavorful though. The Ahi Tuna was ok. Had better and worse. Great location and views. Moderate price for the value received.

Great food and attentive service with beautiful river views. Romantic setting. Always a solid date night or special occasion option.

Staff was attentive and polite. Food was average. The lobster bisque was rather bland and the peppered papradelle with scallops was somewhat flavorless. Our party ordered three filet dinners all medium rare. One was perfectly cooked one was medium and one was served medium well to almost well. Deserts were ordered, Heath bar bread pudding and Creme brûlée and they were both fabulous.

We happened to have been seated next to an older 4-top that was quite loud. They were also in the back corner, so that acoustically anything they said was bounced back into the room, which amplified the sound even more. However, we had a marvelous meal, and very friendly staff, so overall, a most pleasant experience.

This place is fine but I would recommend other places to friends. Other than the view (if you're lucky to sit where there are windows overlooking the river), there is nothing that really stands out enough to warrant the prices.

We had a great dinner at Back Inn Cafe. It is a beautiful and quiet environment in a cool old mansion. I got the scallops which were excellent. Most the time I am disappointment with scallops because they aren't filling, this portion was just right. My wife got the Ahi Tuna and it was one of the best we've had and a generous portion. All in all a great experience!
